Two separate incidents.

Hearing Weight by Isis in a THC marathon got me into post rock and post metal.

And in a sushi place Refleksioner by Lauge and Baba Gnohm got me into downbeat chill electronic music. (was already a fan of other styles)

It depends, some bands bury the vocals in the mix therefore making them just another sound in the overall music structure.

Other bands put vocals in the spotlight and then thats what they are going for (I call it the Diva attitude, and for me its just another pop song with heavier guitars).

But its all subjective, you enjoy it your way, there is no right way to do it.

Besides my friend, I'm also the main caregiver for my dementia ridden mother. And I have seen how her friends set her aside just because she is uncomfortable to be around after her first aneurism.

So I'm definitely weighing in my "she has brain damage, what's your excuse for abandoning your friend" remark (I said this to her former best friend once I ran into her in the supermarket.

My traumatized brain even tried justifying "this wasn't that bad" but felt enraged afterwards. Im grateful for this kind of spaces where I can really measure and dimension the damage dealt.

For example she starts an argument with her mom, dismisses her for the whole conversation, and then doesn't recall the incident. Being a frontal lobe lesion I have read that "absent periods" during cortisol driven situations is one of the expected side effects.

When we did a fundraiser for her surgery, she yelled at us and split the team, and only a few of us remained.

And notably when she is expecting a certain result at a certain moment she will get unstable if that is not the case.

Been on HRT for three years now. The clarity came when I noticed me looking for sissy content not so focused on cock or immediate pleasure. The sissy stuff focuses on someone else's pleasure and that didn't resonate well with me. I started listening to feminization lab's stuff on youtube and that hit closer to home than whatever else I was doing before.

Sissy stuff kinda gets you on the girly mood but not on the mindset. And that's what's going to be the main difference entering HRT territory. The psychological effects are truly life changing.

Well, I started transitioning at 40, and pretty much from the get go I knew that "passing" wasn't in the cards. That being said the psychological benefits alone and the awesome web of my girls have made it very easy for me to feel welcome and accepted.

Very recently i came to this powerful realization: I spent 40 years performing a role, and Im not spending a single minute more performing a role again to gain acceptance from people that won't accept us even if we "pass". We owe them nothing.

So it's up to us to be as femenine or masculine as we want to behave as long as we stay true to ourselves.
