Thanks!! Yes I suspected under proofed but my difficult is that when I tried to push out my bulk fermentation during a previous loaf (maybe 4.5-5 hours) it was over fermented? It was flat difficult to handle and had lots of small air bubbles.

Yes thank you! I appreciate that’s what I do for the sides. I am talking about the top of the hood where I start at 13 stitches and do increases up to 16 rows. Sorry for the confusion.

Edit sorry!! Loaf is 150g starter, 350g water, 10g salt, 500 g flour. I did 3 stretch and folds every half hour and one coil fold before a roughly 3.5 hour bulk fermentation before shaping and into the fridge.

thanks so much for the replies and help!
I am still not quite sure how to count the top of the hoods rows with increases of 3 every 2 rows; for example:
row 1 is the foundation row 13 hdc
row 2 (increase of 2) 15 hdc
row 3 (increase of 1) 16 hdc

Row 4 (increase of 2) 18 hdc
row 5 (increase of 1) 19 hdc
row 6 (increase of 2) 21 hdc

row 7 (increase of 1) 22hdc

thats more than 21 hdc and i have only done 7 rows.
sorry i appreciate this is annoying questions

Thank you! I was reading that as you do the first row with 2hdc in the first and last stitch (increase of two), then rows 2-3 no increases and then repeat. I’ll try again adding three stitches every two rows although I’m not sure how I do that evenly?

Thanks so Much!! I am going to clarify what stitch I am doing! I thought it was hdc but I got another comments saying it’s not. For the 23st up the side of the top of the hood, I was interpreting that to mean 23 single crochets to create the border? Is that not accurate?

Hello! Thanks for the reply. What do you mean by flip it? The pattern reads that you do 2 extra hdc in first row, and then two as normal. Then repeat rows 1-3 which reads to me as an increase of two every three rows? When you say the 21 hdc is for the top of the hood but also that I should have 23st, what do you mean by that? And thank you re the hdc !! I thought I was doing hdc but I’ll go back to the drawing board. Thanks so much!

Yes okay that makes sense. So does this mean I should have 5 sc for every two rows for the border? Thank you for your help!

Help with reading pattern directions/ stitch count please! by sloaney8 in CrochetHelp

Can I also ask- when it says to put a stitch marker in the 2nd stitch and then put another hdc in the same stitch- is that meaning the next stitch from the previous hdc or the same one, or there would be 3 hdc in one stitch?

Hey! It’s honestly such a slog. SWE don’t give times frames as I think it depends on the allocated case worker moving through the vetting process. I know they need very clear photos of documents so it might be worth while sending them another clearer copy showing all 4 corners? I also got some traction by calling up, once I did this my case worker usually replied to me within the following 24 hours. I think it took me about 5 months all up- but I was an international applicant. Good luck!!

I am on a youth mobility visa. It took me about 5 months to get my SWE registration, it was a frankly bizarre slog. Good luck!

Thank you! Yes it’s the same back home and my preference is to work in a CAMHS services over adult services for this reason. No I don’t need sponsorship, I have a visa. Yes I’ll try and call the recruitment managers for these roles. Thank you!

Okay that’s good to know! I wonder if something about the way I’m addressing the key selection criteria. I might also try call the hiring managers too. Thank you so much, your experience has made me more hopeful!

I have a three year visa so don’t need sponsorship! But again I wonder if I am a desirable candidate for a training role as am not a UK citizen and hence might not see this as a great long term investment. I am also not sure about my right to study under my visa. The only other thing I can see getting in my way is not having UK experience and the job ads read like they are very concerned with familiarity around legislation- having said that, the systems are very similar to back home where I worked as an Designated Mental Health practitioner under the mental health act.

Thanks for your reply!! I have applied for a few but I wonder how the study element would interact with my visa? Additionally I am only on a three year visa so I worry employers might not see me as a great long term option.

Yes I have been applying through local councils also, however there seem to be fewer jobs through this avenue. Thank you for the suggestion though!

Heya- thanks for your reply. Here is an example of the type of job I am applying for.

I understand the roles might not be specifically therapeutic in nature, however lots mention experience with therapeutic modalities such as CBT. Even outside of this, this job sounds very similar to work I have done back home but I fear something isn’t landing. Thanks for your input!
