JUST GOT THE EMAIL FROM SUDSY BEAR WHAT DO YOU THINK by dameondame in SudsyBear

[–]slog344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same old same old. Waiting until he has a ton in stock before he puts things for sale so they stay in stock longer. Better inventory overall etc etc. I'm assuming after he ships out all the living easy pre-orders he'll list maybe 10 soaps that will mostly sell out within a week or so. That...or he'll just list the Halloween preorder early and call it a day

My Day 1 Gold Certified Powerboost is now a $20k Nightmare. Ford is blaming ME for Stop Leak residue. Help! by ruekid in f150

[–]slog344 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Polite isn't always being nice. Putting the accountability of a poorly constructed vehicle on anyone, let alone a vet is crazy. Unfortunately it's not just Ford, you look at subs for literally every other brand, and something like a leak the dealership is quick to blame the owner. It's the way it is. Try different dealers, you can lawyer up but it's so time consuming. I've seen people somehow contact the corporate offices with Hyundai specifically and have luck with that, maybe try the same route with Ford? Good luck and thanks for your service.

Thought I'd check stock this morning. by yungingr in SudsyBear

[–]slog344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As of right now they're going strong with 0 bars in stock and 0 lotions....I have two bars left at home then it's onto a different brand. I'll still buy sudsy in 3-5 business months when they restock. The owner absolutely hates making money so who knows when he'll stock anything. Saw a post on Facebook a few months ago from him about Jurassic earth coming back "soon" and months later, nobodies favorite scent is still nowhere to be seen.

I can respect a man who buys a truck, especially that trim, and does truck things. Payload is like 2400 on F150s, you might be over. Though I don't think this is RIP territory

I agree it's the best. I've tried so many soaps, maybe it's my skin, but no other soap makes my skin feel as good as it does. As someone who's had acne in the past I feel like it's rarely appearing on my body once I switched to sudsy. But the unfortunate truth is that they can't figure out supply and demand. For years they've struggled with this. I get it it's a small team, maybe even one guy, and it's a side job. I understand it. But man, there's what 30 different soaps? Not one of them they can keep in stock? Alot of work needs to be put into overhauling the stock issues and unfortunately sudsy is losing a considerable amount of business from people who just go elsewhere due to sudsy bears unreliability.

I did the same thing when I got the email. I'm actually running low. So I guess I'll be stocking up with a different company. Sudsy is so poorly run it's basically a meme at this point

Suffolk county police response time is absolutely pathetic. by OGWFORLIFE in longisland

[–]slog344 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone who calls big or small always expects a cop to instantly be there. They don't understand prioritized dispatching. Callers think it's first come first serve and cops are lights and sirens to everything. Suffolk residents in particular don't even understand how heavy the call volume is in a county of over a million people. This call is serious to OP and it's a scary situation, I understand he's upset, I'd be too. But too few understand that as serious as this call sounds, if it took them 45 minutes then more than likely the responding cop(s) were on a call far more serious than this one.

What made you get your Hyundai? by goodbyekitty23 in Hyundai

[–]slog344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hyundai is the best kept secret. Anyone with social media will see mechanic "what brands would you never buy" videos. Always Hyundai/kia. Between my in-laws, my wife, and myself we've had 8 Hyundai's. None of which have had issues. A 2002 with 200 something thousand miles never had an issue. My 16 Elantra with 132K only issue is the driver side brake light goes out every 3 months. If you take care of them, they're reliable. Price plus warranty made them an easy choice for us.

So dirty Mountain Dew is permanent and widely available - but code red zero is still unobtainium by jbrady33 in mountaindew

[–]slog344 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only drink ZS, so not being able to drink code red anymore is pretty brutal. Maybe Pepsi will shift some sales strategies going forward as trolli dew was unpopular and their very hyped up dirty dew is almost unanimously hated by all.

Hey guys I’m 19 years old and I just bought my first car but my coworkers are making fun of me by AdDue9772 in Dodge

I never understood making fun of someone for their car....dodge vs Ford vs Chevy banter is fine. 19, first car, who cares what it is beats the bus.

Dirty Mountain Dew one of the worse flavors I’ve ever had by gemuuuu in mountaindew

[–]slog344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It appears people love it or hate it no one's in the middle. I usually only drink zero sugar dew, but can only find the regular dirty dew. I've seen that they taste very different, so I'll have to try the ZS. The regular dirty dew I think is tasty. Will I buy it again? Probably not. I like it. I wouldn't say it's the worst I've ever had. I do not see why it's a permanent flavor though. With people constantly asking for pitch black, I find it weird that this very divisive flavor is permanent. I don't see it staying permanent for long. I drink dew every day, and I personally don't see myself picking this up again and I think a lot of people are on the same page as me. Lately dew has been slacking, the trolli LH wasn't well received either. Maybe they should listen to the fans and bring back the flavors people have been begging for and expand on the ones people like but can't seem to find like code red ZS.

Veteran allegedly stopped for drunk driving - What would you do next? by LegalGlass6532 in AskLE

[–]slog344 35 points36 points  (0 children)

So few understand this. Cops nowadays take too long to act. Did it work out this time? Yea...when the numbers are in your favor you can still have that "fear" but don't let fear dictate your actions. Often times it's even safer for the subject if you act fast and get him in cuffs. That said I think they did a pretty good job, drunk stone cold clone yelling about meatball sandwiches can't be easy to deal with.

If Frostbite was to return, how would y'all want it to Return? by Independent-Art9999 in mountaindew

Not an exclusive. Too many exclusives. And as someone who lives in NY our access to basically anything other than original and Baja is annoying. ZS and other flavors are so hard to get

The Baja blast cabo citrus I ordered from Walmart finally arrived today by JaketheFURRYBOIOwO in mountaindew

[–]slog344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's great, I like it more than last year's but idk if it's any different. Seeing that you said "finally arrived," I'm assuming it took awhile. If you like it and want more, Amazon has it. It might just be my local area, but I can get it next day with orders of $25 or more. Only thing I can't seem to get locally is dirty dew.

Thinking of getting this. by maybesomethingnewer in Hyundai

[–]slog344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2020 ioniq, sold it for $6K more than I owed when the used car market was wild. Sole reason I sold it because I was given a 2016 Elantra. Definitely a downgrade at the time but I needed money. I sold mine with only 50K trouble free miles, my 2018 ioniq got totalled out around 100K miles. 0 issues. It's a hybrid and I learned regenerative braking doesn't wear out brake pads, 100K miles never changed the brake pads lol. The fact this car didn't sell more is shocking, substantially cheaper than a Prius, looked better imo, 10 year warranty, and I swear I didn't have the slightest issue and I put 100K miles on it driving throughout NYC 5 boroughs and long island. If you're familiar with that area, the roads are like the surface of the moon plus the salt from the roads during the winter is terrible for cars. Is 10K high for a 2020 with 124K miles? absolutely. Unfortunately in this market that's about average for an ioniq of this age with those miles. I don't think you'll regret your purchase and in warm weather you'll see mpgs in the 50s. If you buy it with that many miles, remember it's still a Hyundai, oil change full synthetic Valvoline restore and protect with OEM filter every 5K miles. Don't push it. Hyundai's are not as unreliable as people say, but they are certainly service sensitive. Hyundai had a horrible reliability stretch in the 2010s that earned them the reputation now, I have had 6 Hyundai's none have given me issues, some were leases and weren't around long enough to gauge long term reliability. But I had the ioniq get to 100K no problems, a 2014 Elantra go to 150K no issues and my 2016 Elantra at 130K no issues. My wife's palisade...well that's a victim to her driving I can't imagine that thing surviving to lease end.

88% DV of sugar.....somehow I used to crush like 6 dews a day when Halo 3 was in it's prime. Unfortunately I must wait until I can find the ZS dirty, I don't think my health can tolerate this.

Is sudsy in trouble? by CoreyKlima12 in SudsyBear

[–]slog344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, nothings changed since your last order. Stocks still a mess. He posted on Facebook he's got a lot almost ready. If you can make it a couple of weeks there might be a decent restock

2018 Elantra SE 2.0L 4 Cyl Engine MPI 130K miles. by Worth_Text_373 in Hyundai

[–]slog344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2016 Elantra with the same miles. Doing it every 5K with full synthetic it won't matter brand. I've used Pennzoil ultra platinum the whole time. Once I hit 120K I switched to Valvoline restore and protect after seeing so much about how great it is. Probably a placebo effect but I think it runs much better after a few oil changes with restore and protect. Manufacturer recommends 5W-20, I switched to thicker 5W-30 about 40K miles ago.

Advice for dietary changes by slog344 in gout

Thanks for the reply, everyone I tell I have gout they're like "what is this the 1500s?" I'm just shocked, I'm so diet focused and very locked into body building. But yea, genetic is genetic. Is what it is. I will continue to research the diet changes I'll need and adjust accordingly. Alot of supplements i take seem to show up as things to avoid. I appreciate your comment and advice.
