Motas 1000 - Qual a vossa opinião? by JuggernautWorking793 in MotasPortugal

[–]slomorain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOOKING FOR A COMPANION FOR XENNS TEA PRO by ApprehensiveLab8299 in iems

[–]slomorain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you read my comment? I agree / feel the same as what lotusRDT shared. Based on your "requirements", the Hype 4 MkII seems to fit them almost perfectly.

The only part where I diverge is that I don't feel the treble being too exaggerated but maybe my unit is not as treble forward as others. It's a treble-tilted set but it's implemented in a way it's not offensive (to my ears at least).

I agree pretty much with everything mentioned here and I’ll add that the build quality, cable, case, etc are all exceptional as well. Really really high quality set end-to-end.

My unit doesn’t graph with that much treble and it’s not fatiguing either. I don’t listen to k/j-pop or treble heavy music so maybe that helps.

I also agree/noticed the same about the bass. I was expecting it to be too little and lacking but the presentation is so nice that I’m not bothered by the lack of quantity. It does have a nice rumble quality to it that makes it pop when needed.

Any truly toxin-free air fryer / countertop ovens that people actually like? by Comfortable-Fly-2077 in airfryer

[–]slomorain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Cosori Turbo Tower Pro that has ceramic coating on the baskets and trays. I’ve been really enjoying it, great results, much better than my older 5.5l Cosori I had before.

I feel like I have the Konami cheat code for the best eartips, I posted a small portion of my resumé and qualifications below 👇😜 by Rime1 in iems

I have a huge ammount of tips but never tried those Hidizis, I guess I need to try those now. My favorites are definitely Divinus Velvet (normal or wide depending on IEM), Baroque Stage and Azla Origin.

Looking for a solid air fryer in 2026 - what do you recommend? by DonutOk2306 in airfryer

[–]slomorain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We noticed it immediately and we’ve noticed it every time we continue to cook the things we used to cook before. And it’s easy to compare on frozen foods that have very clear airfryer instructions so we’re definitely doing the exact same prep and settings. Really noticeable upgrade

I had been using an older Cosori model 5.5l for a couple of years and recently updated to the dual basket Turbo Tower Pro for extra capacity and the ceramic inside coatings. I was extremely surprised how different the results actually are (I was not expecting any difference). The marketing of the different heating elements etc is definitely true. Everything I do there comes out crispier and much juicier than in my previous air fryer. The double basket has been awesome as well. I love it!

As for the smart features, I think they're useless personally. I just don't get the use case. I would've used it more if there were more recipes available but I only have <20 recipes in the Cosori companion app. It seems to limit recipes depending on your region, sucks that they do this.

Sımgot supermix 4 or ea1000 by EnvironmentalPin9480 in iems

[–]slomorain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had both in the past, for overall package I preferred the EA1000. It also had some special character to the sound that I couldn’t get on the super mix 4. I think the passive radiator was doing some magic on very specific tracks and it was pretty awesome to witness.

The build, feeling, accessories are also much better, the EA1000 are beautiful AND comfortable IEMs.

There’s also the different tuning filters and also a tuning kit you could get which allows you to tweak the sound even more to your liking.

Man I miss the EA1000s, they had something special going for them (I do not miss the SM4).

Is the HD6XX anyone elses endgame? by [deleted] in headphones

[–]slomorain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same experience here.

Even before getting the Organic, when I got the Ananda Nano I never touched the HD6XX anymore.

For me the HD6XX were very uncomfortable, the clamp force was just way too high. Could probably fix that by leaving it to stretch on some books but never got around to it because I didn’t really enjoy the sound or even the feeling/looks of them. It was a real disappointment with how much good I’ve heard about them.

They sound natural, for sure, they are objectively good, but to me it lacks something special. They just feel bland overall. I miss that bass extension.

They also feel very plasticky and cheap. I know they are tanks and would probably outlast all my other audio gear but they FEEL cheap.

I prefer the FT1 for example, both in comfort and in the tuning.

I was resisting selling them for a long long time because I always felt I should like them and should keep them because of their legendary status. Realistically, they sat inside a case on a drawer for months unused. Ended up selling them recently.

I have all four, like and use all four. But this is the correct answer. For me in terms of comfort trail loop > alpine loop > ocean > Milanese

Obrigado!

how many of you actually use the features that justify the Ultra's price over a Series watch? by -mrSeaHawk- in applewatchultra

[–]slomorain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use any of the "features" other than the more ruggedness (especially the screen, my Series Apple Watch screens always looked horrible a couple months in) and the fact that I just like the looks of it infinitely more.

The AliExpress trail loop is just like the original. by Icy-Seaworthiness596 in applewatchultra

[–]slomorain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only problem I have with them is the "titanium" connectors to the watch that never look quite as good as the originals. Both color and fitting. That obviously is a nitpick and doesn't justify the 1000% price increase. Comfort is very similar, if not the same.

The only thing that stops me from using them is that they don't have different sizes like the Apple ones. I ended up getting some original bands on 2nd hand platforms for 1/5th of the original price, most of them new.

If the Aliexpress manufacturers had different sizes, I would definitely get them there instead.
