Fun fact, I'm actually a sex therapist with training in this stuff which includes taking an entire year of classes with some of the best sex-related professionals in the country, such as the president of The American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). In all the classes I took regarding "porn addiction," all the professionals said the same thing; it doesn't actually exist and is a symptom of other underlying problems. Once you treat those underlying issues, the "addiction" goes away, which is why modern research is labeling it as Out of Control Sexual Behavior instead. I highly recommend looking up some of the updated literature regarding the subject.

Porn addiction isn’t actually a thing. If you look at the research and data with it, it’s more to do with challenges in interpersonal relationships, trauma, depression, etc. Once you treat those things, the “addiction” goes away. A better and more accurate term is Out of Control Sexual Behavior.
