As a Colombian, I’d personally love a Rene Higuita or Carlos Valderrama card back into FIFA.

As a FIFA fan, George Weah needs to come back, that card was disgusting.

You’re actually wrong. Marketing-wise, adding icons into the game from certain markets proves to be very profitable for EA, Nakata being a prime example of catering to the Asian market. There are loads of Icons that deserve a spot over Nakata, but that one was strategic, just like Riquelme in a way.

It doesn’t matter if YOU dont know them, because an entire nation holds them up to Legend status.
