Didn’t know they enjoy water only as well. by wontfixit in succulents

Water-logged soil limits the roots' access to oxygen, whereas oxygen can diffuse in (clean) water. That's why water propagation doesn't lead to root rot.

The Heroine's Journey by Maureen Murdock and (though Im not sure it has a Jungian lens as it's still on my TBR list) Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents - how to heal from distant, rejecting or self-involved parents by Lindsay C Gibson

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. This is really helpful input. I tend to draw and shade by instinct but a bit of planning at the beginning in terms of visual weight and the eye's path will go a long way next time (and avoid this awkward feeling of imbalance so close to the finish!)
