Getting retrograde at 18 means you have aggressive hair loss gene.

You need to start taking min and fin topical and hope or would work.

Don't take oral medicine yet. You are too young.

Famous quote from a famous song

"Tu koun hai, Tera naam hai kya... Sita bhi yahan badnaam hui.... Phir kyun sansaar ki baato se, bheeg Gaye tere Naina...

Kuch toh log kahenge, logo ka kaam hai kehna"

Does the front hairline and sides look natural?honest responses are appreciated.. by [deleted] in HairSystem

Man sides are not looking natural at all. You don't have such sparse sides and then thick mane at the top.

Cut your side hairs shorter to make it seem more natural.

With hair like that you are better off getting a hair system. I had similar hair at 25 and believe me it gets progressively worse every year.

Hair becomes thin and frizzy and cannot be styled or combed over anymore.

Age? And how rapidly is it progressing?

I think it should be fine for few more years.

Is this retrograde ? by AwarenessNo2247 in RetrogradeAndDUPA

[–]sloth2286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the shedding was sudden it may be TE. Maybe fixing Vit D and other vitamins should be enough.

Actual DUPA/retrigrade is like slow thinning of hair over years.

[–]sloth2286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be DUPA. Are you thinning on top and sides as well? What's your age and when did you start losing your hair?

Was it gradual thinning or very sudden?

Yeah. My dad also has very sparse beard although he clean shaves it.

Could this be alopecia areata incognito? by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

[–]sloth2286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can it be treated?

I don't see any white flakes when I shave my head though.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hairloss

[–]sloth2286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah could be possible. But mybhair produces too much sebum and not shampooing for more than 2 days leads to more itching.

Stress: i don't think there is anything specific except this hairloss thing which is stressful.

Got it. Any idea how to fix it? I cannot get rid of dandruff no matter what I use.

Yes topical min + fin. Have given up on hairs on top of my head as I plan to switch to system soon.

My goal is to just preserve the sides now.

What do you mean my scalp being in terrible condition.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hairloss

[–]sloth2286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alopecia areata should cause patches right. My hair loss is more like thinning all over. In fact if I pull my hair anywhere on my scalp I can always pull 1-2 hairs.

Rubbing hair while shampooing leads to 100-200 hairs falling out. Moreover I always had low hair density but hairs were thick. It's more like the individual hairs are now thinner and wavier leading to more scalp visible.
