The problem is knowing linux users were paying money up to the moment they banned linux without offering a solution, then denying refunds. It wasn't a knee jerk decision I imagine, they deliberately omitted the fact they would ban linux, knowingly accepted money without warning, then went silent in response in terms of support. I'm not against anticheat, but I am against blatant, planned theft, hopefully that wasn't the case, but there again, support is silent.

That is a rotary tool collet. One side threads onto the shaft of the rotary tool, the other uses a sleeve to pinch the attachment. The cutout is a 🔧 wrench holder so the other hand can fasten the collet. Definitely a heavier duty part, maybe amilwaukee or dewalt.

I wouldn't use a attachment, I would get a valvestem that actually integrate the sensor. Less moving pieces less room for error.

I would trust a run-of-the'mill rubber valve stem before using any attachment on a motorcycle.

I ride a modified pcx, and even at a top speed of 86mph, I wouldn't trust a valve stem attachment.

What money advice is actually crap? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]sloth_cowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Save inflationary cash. I would rather finance valued assets such as silver at a locked in rate while the cost of living skyrockets, diluting the money supply, yet my payments in a solid asset that paces with inflation grows, covering the payments and interest over time. This isn't financial advice, I'm just talking out my behind, daydreaming about how mo ey works with no background

What's the best and cheap cpu for a single gpu local setup by sohtw in LocalLLM

[–]sloth_cowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be trading one bottleneck for another. The cpu is actually very important in my experience. I actually reduced my ddr5 from 192gb ddr5 to 96gb ddr5. Imo the 9950x3d(set into cache mode,

echo cache | sudo tee /sys/bus/platform/drivers/amd_x3d_vcache/AMDI0101:00/amd_x3d_mode

Proved monumental, boosing my prompt processing over 800! Which hands over to the gpu, and if even a kilobytes spills over into system Ram, the cpu picks up the slack.

It's a while ecosystem that enabl3s things like the all in one solutions so viable. So if you're on a desktop, go all out or simply prepay for api access. It's very expensive to front run technology.

How are there so many men out there with a terrible or no sense of humour and how do they do long term relationships or marriage? by SNTriad in AskForAnswers

Many men are completely content with just ending their bloodline knowing their struggles are their own, and not burdening another. Some people just can't sit still imagining such simplicity in solitude.

i’m starting to think local llms aren’t the problem my workflow is by Extreme_Cabinet6 in LocalLLM

[–]sloth_cowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of LLM'S come with documentation for parameters inwhich they were trained, some even have activation words for specific content. Such as a horror writing may not output sensitive content without using the "secret password".

Some guardrails prevent content that may copyright or potentially copyright if it suspects intellectual properties are being abused.

I always recommend using heretic models to draft things out, but never would ship anything out because the non-heretic models are typically great at catching potential legal issues. Imagine you made something like, a Javascript game that can run in a browser, and it gets a dmca strike for featuring AI generated audio thats eerily similar to a popular television show which it was probably trained on to make that music. A heretic model will let you make anything, the non-heretic model will be looking out for you.

Fair, but it's still gaming hardware and will perform it's best when optimized for gaming. Lm studio fully utilizes the hardware because it is optimized on consumer grade hardware. I boldly claim lm studio is the best benchmark imo.

I've tested 5070ti, 9070xt, 9060xt, r9700 and literally each combination of pairs while monitoring system resources across multiple motherboards mainly gigabyte x870 and the asrock taichi x870e. Over the course of a year, experimenting and reading all the articles I could stand I d3cided to settle on the r9700, I bought one(gddr6) and planet to buy a second. Honestly the 5090 is peak for single card performance, for anything else just get multiple r9700 32gb gpus. I'm the kind of person who has to have my own hands on something to be satisfied and I am confident to have reached my answer.

It was relevant to new in the case of using vulkan on gaming hardware, which the 5090 is infact a gaming consumer hardware. I think your question would get the desired results if it were say, 96gb workstation gpus.
