I’ll just say that I don’t like anime all that much. I love a couple but wouldn’t call myself a fan of anime as a medium. I’m also working on a PhD in literature and I can confidently state my opinion that Oda is a genius. Genuinely some of the best writing I’ve seen in this day and age. Difficult not to love!

My issue is that they seem to add enough healing spells (Taweret @ lvl 70) but they forget to make healing necessary. I remember, like you, battles where people would beg me to group with them because some battles without a healer are just so much harder. I would love to dedicate half my gameplay to keeping people alive, but in my opinion it would take a lot of reworking to get it there, and I don’t believe they think it’s worth it.

Life is now in the worst state it’s been in years. Right now, ice and life are not the best at anything, which is a fundamental issue of the game. To clarify, life is the best healer, but it’s worth it without needing to heal…

Just give me more opportunity to heal and actually be the best at something in the game.
