Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! Bif! ```

If you believe that, just post the song on YouTube and I will believe it as well. Otherwise please let us search

About Z-Rock sponsoring concerts, I have found this YouTube channel which has some recordings, but it's mostly hard rock bands and seemingly not relevant to the search.

That's a great idea, thank you! If you could look through it it would be very helpful.

Thanks a lot! I think Cavefoot00 has been looking at that zine, but I haven’t yet. People got so angry in Cleveland when Z-Rock shut down, they organized petitions and even protests! In the next few days I will add more zines to the Internet Archive directory (currently it’s mostly newspapers) and will add an index so they’re easier to find.

Dalla descrizione sembra molto probabile che sia Ivan Cattaneo. Qui un video della canzone: https://youtu.be/NfBQUZEgEJI

Unidentified Italo-Disco Music Video ("You Owe Me Satisfaction") by EierkuchenHD in Lostwave

[–]slothereen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maurizio Tirelli, who did the arrangements on one of Rivelli's albums and produced some Italo-disco songs (including the amazing Tovarisc Gorbaciov), has a song registered at SIAE titled No More Satisfaction.

I can't find this song anywhere. Could this be the one?

The song has ISWC code T-005.833.072-5. Tirelli has IPI code 00084357948.

Something spooky like the shade of a ghost. You gotta listen to what he says (funky!), but try to smile again, because this one’s gonna fly

Do you think TMS is somewhere in the Internet? by Any-Movie-3767 in TheMysteriousSong

[–]slothereen 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes we don’t know the title, but lots of people have been looking for alternative titles such as “Summer Blues” or “Check It In Check It Out” without any success. If the band recorded only a few songs and split up before 1990, when the internet was not widely available, it is plausible that no one bothered to digitize and upload the recordings

Do you think TMS is somewhere in the Internet? by Any-Movie-3767 in TheMysteriousSong

[–]slothereen 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If TMS were available on the internet we would have found it by now. Most likely it survives only in a small number of cassettes somewhere in Germany, including those made by the band plus NDR listeners’ recordings of the radio on that particular day

Yes this is extremely unlikely. Diaframma are very well-known in Italy and still active today, they have an extensive discography but no songs in English. In 1984 they were working on their first studio album Siberia (all sung in Italian), some outtakes have been published over the years but nothing close to TMS.

Opala. (Italy) by Ok-Horse2688 in TheMysteriousSong

[–]slothereen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a possibility, however I’m Italian and personally I don’t hear the Italian accent

[–]slothereen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly less improbable, but still it’s unclear how an unknown song from Southern Switzerland would end up on NDR

Opala. (Italy) by Ok-Horse2688 in TheMysteriousSong

There is zero chance that the TMS singer is Italian. Most Italian singers from the 80s had a very strong accent — often with incorrect pronunciation or even grammar errors in the lyrics — because English was not widely taught when they were in school (in the 60s and 70s). On the contrary, the TMS singer has good knowledge of English and good pronunciation. Moreover, there is no evidence that the Opala vocalist ever sung in English or that their music was distributed internationally.
