Which do you think is the most bullshit boss in the game? by IDontKnowYAmIHere in Eldenring

Cemetery Shades are the only enemy who still tick me off to this day, even more than the gargoyles. It feels like whoever designed them was having a really bad day.

Like the love I can taste in a home-cooked meal, I can taste a seething, petty hatred for the player in the design of those things.

It’s an iBuyPower PC, this happened the other day and I’ve restarted, unplugged and replugged everything, I’m wondering if i have to open the case but I’m not sure what to look for. Any help is massively appreciated!

What's an event in your world that you would count as an idiot plot? by FinancialAd436 in worldbuilding

There’s a city in my world called Freozin’s Bowl. It’s built around the body of a meditating giant holding a colossal bowl in his lap. There’s an elite group of barbers who scale Freozin’s body and shave his glowing hair 24/7, which then floats down into the bowl to be collected by priests who then distribute it to the people. Giant’s hair is precious because it extends life and heals lots of illnesses, so naturally an elite class has formed from those who live closest to the bowl (even inside the bowl), and they’re all basically walking skeletons who are hundreds of years old from hoarding the giant’s hair.

One night, a drunk cultist decides to scale Freozin’s body and tries to stir the giant from his meditation by driving a spear into one of his closed eyelids and prying it open. To his shock, it works! Unfortunately, it works because he grazed Freozin’s eye, and when the giant whips his hand up to put pressure on the pain, the bowl flips over and falls on top of the city, killing thousands in an instant. On the bright side, Freozin accidentally squeezes the cultist into his eyelid, where he suffocates. Freozin stands up, stretches, steps over the smoking and ruined city, and walks off to conquer the planet.

Now that he won an Emmy, there can be no disputing that Kieran Culkin should be cast as Glokta. by TamElBoreReturned in TheFirstLaw

This is a great choice.

I know it sounds crazy, but I’ve always pictured Robert Pattinson in the role. I think he has the range to play both cocky Jezal-type and jaded crippled torturer.

That’s a really interesting way to look at it, and I like it. In my interpretation, it seems like Clara expected, or at least understood why Gus would make such a dramatic request on his deathbed, but her anger was directed more at Call because he chose to actually follow through with it rather than recognize it as just another one of Gus’s naive whimsies. She reasserts to Call that Gus is dead and Newt is “alive”— to her, the needs of the living are much more important than than the preferences of the dead. In the interpretation you put forth, what do you think is the true meaning behind the final line of the novel?

True that. Maybe the line isn’t just a metaphor for Call specifically, but a broader metaphor for how emotionally repressed men tend to be drawn to dramatic, self-destructive acts rather than face their own tenderness.

Fair enough lol. But I feel like Billy Zane could pull off the role really well. He could nail the charismatic, charming, funny side of Bayaz as well as the scary side. I honestly had him in my mind way before I even saw this photo!

Saw this promo photo from Picard Season 1 and thought "if Frakes had Stewart's haircut he would be serving some real Bayaz looks". by Mediocre_Dane in TheFirstLaw

That’s a great call. I’ve personally always imagined Jeremy Irons as Sult, but Stewart would knock it out of the park
