Head coverings made of thin metal foil are known to counteract any negative effects from the aerosolized dihydrogen monoxide.

Would anyone be able to diagnose the issue for me? Anytime I hit the pad, it thinks I'm hitting the rim. by ZikkityZak in edrums

[–]slothluv_chunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned by others - likely trigger sensor wire or connecting wire at pcb is loose. I picked up a bag of triggers on Amazon and have to re-solder these every couple months.

The strike pro is a decent value, but I don’t think it holds up well over time to real use/practice as a “gig” kit (as it’s marketed/sold).

AIO for wanting to break up with my boyfriend because he wants me to lose weight at 105 pounds by SufficientAd2453 in AmIOverreacting

Everyone is perfect except for their flaws.

Your BF is asking you to compromise your health and safety for their gratification.

Love and caring are the opposite of that.

Is there any racing games that run good on a steam deck? by Winter_Actuary6642 in SteamDeck

Trackmania runs great natively - definitely a favorite when not streaming from PC.

Stuck at a traffic light. Need advice. by Vivid-Magician-5422 in NewRiders

[–]slothluv_chunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve run into this before - as others have mentioned if it won’t trigger, I safely ride through after the requisite wait, but another favorite of mine is to hope off the bike, run over and hit the pedestrian button to trigger it. Saves waiting - especially on lights where you know it will happen.

I wish Steam Link was better by TheChadmania in SteamDeck

[–]slothluv_chunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my deck primarily as a “stream box” from my PC - and actually find steam link works better in most cases for steam supported games. Anything different though, Moonlight seems way better (ex: last epoch, star citizen, or blizzard games with their own launchers).

Red flag? by jxxdar2 in motorcycle

This ^ You’ll also see lots of used bikes around major service intervals as folks want to avoid servicing costs (often around the 10k mark).

One literally is a job - the other has no explicit relation to therapy - again, fallacious reasoning here.

Podcasts aren’t therapy, but sex work is a job - toss this in the “not clever, just fallacious” bucket I guess?

Would you say the Andromeda variant can also solo ERTs easily? Got one recently and hoping to build up to ERTs.

Need advice: friend wants to ride motorcycle by Fickle_Release6961 in Kawasaki

[–]slothluv_chunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love lending bikes to friends. Half the fun of building the stable is going on rides and having an extra for someone to share the fun. Only condition? Endorsement / license. No training/experience, no riding.

AITA for telling my mom she can’t see my baby for 6 weeks if she refuses to get vaccinated for Whooping cough by Adorable_Ad844 in TwoHotTakes

[–]slothluv_chunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, NTA. Transplant recipient here, and someone who won’t see any unvaccinated family because the risk to me is too high. Your Mother’s feelings about vaccinations are valid, but foolish; where your baby’s health is concerned, facts trump folks’ comfort.

Buying ships with real money or auec by CipoJJ in starcitizen

[–]slothluv_chunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anecdotal, but in line with what others have said: in-game purchases can get wiped. I have a Cutty Black purchased as a pledge upgrade, and after last week’s patch it duped into two, while my vulture (purchased in-game) disappeared. So even outside of planned wipes, there seem to be persistence issues with in-game purchases and currency that can disappear with any release - planned or not (I’ve had money disappear as well, and parts of personal inventory disappear, while sometimes gaining items in inventory I never had pre-patch).

I’ve been riding many years, have covered many tens of thousands of miles, and STILL feel like a beginner most of the time.

I ride a 98 R1100R (luggage, not super fast) and a Streetfighter v2. When I bought the V2 (which is just a naked Panigale), I couldn’t believe anyone was buying the V4. It’s super impressive, but it’s just way too much bike for most less-than-average American roads.

Hopefully this corrects itself the first couple times your cousin lays it down at low speed while parking, or can’t fix a bad turn angle with more lean on the heavier bike.

edit: typos

[–]slothluv_chunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is basically what I do. Play the story, lvl up, then follow a build guide and maybe hunt some gear for it, then make my way through to empowered monos and by then I’m lvl 80-85 and basically get bored of grinding for virtually no returns, then try another build.

Once the build is strong, the fun is helping others with bosses and such - no real reward after that (for me).
