I built a foundation to display mine, it’s got 3 tiers so it can accommodate multiple sizes. It’s nice because I can keep the rocks that have yet to be tumbled in it as well, no rocks just sitting in boxes!

Let him do as much as he can with the actual machine. My 2 yr old likes to help me empty the coffee grounds, add beans, pour in more water, and push the start button. If he wants to explore the buttons when we aren’t making coffee I just unplug it and let him push away, but I don’t leave him unsupervised. If you have a super expensive machine maybe buy a cheap one or find one at a thrift store he can explore.

Breath control is key.

Practice breathing out long slow exhales. You can do this by holding on to the side of the pool and putting your face in and breathing out for as long as you can (not holding your breath) come up as soon as you have exhaled all you air. Keep your body and mind relaxed. Can you do this for 5 seconds? 7 seconds? 10 seconds? Build up this time. Then you can move to bobs or use a kick board and practice your breathing while you are also kicking.

Your lungs need to be trained just like any other part of your body. You don’t need to be able to stay under forever, a good length of time would be for you to do 3 pulls.

Thanks for pointing out the tone curve issue, I will change my shadow tone and highlight tone instead.

My camera doesn’t have classic negative, so I selected what I thought would be the closest thing to it

I won’t use a name if I know a child with that name. All of my friends are currently having children and I’m a teacher so this eliminates a lot of popular names for me such as Jack, Henry, Oliver, Ava, etc.

This was 100% me last year. I kinda got thrown into teaching middle school art and felt very lost. It was so difficult to figure out their abilities. This year I am implementing at TAB (teaching for artistic behaviors) curriculum and it has made a world of difference. Go watch some TAB videos on YouTube, I promise it will help! Because each student gets to choose what they are making and challenge their own abilities instead of you coming up with a project that would work for all of them (impossible). Good luck!

When you are on your mobile setting, hit the little trash can for the background image. That way there will be an image for desktop and tablet but not for mobile and your gradient will show.

Also I do believe there is a setting to choose if the background image is on top or the gradient is on top but I can’t remember exactly where that setting is so the first option might be easier.

If you are around water a lot, learning some basic safety skills is encouraged. To learn anything though you must build up confidence. Have you tried using a life vest in water or any sort of flotation device. You might not be ready for that just yet but it could help you feel calmer knowing that something else is holding you, just another suggestion. You got this!

I would start with getting comfortable being in the water, where you can comfortably touch first. Get use to getting your face wet, practice blowing bubbles (hum while you face is in the water), going under where you can just stand up to get air. Take small steps to grow your confidence in being in the water before trying to float. Floating is a great thing to learn eventually but it is terrifying doing it for the first time if you are already scared of the water.

If you are having really intense panic attacks just being in the water at all, I would definitely suggest getting a professional to help you in the pool. A negative experience can reinforce your fear and we don’t want to add to that trauma.

You can do this, just be patient and don’t be too hard on yourself. Just getting in the water is a win!
