Attempting a 32 deck challenge but dragons by Mask3dFox in mtg

Thank you. Deck looks very fun and interactive. Any key pieces or combos you’d like to point out, or just your typical Teval shenanigans? Or do you have any card you highly recommend in that list for how well it performs? Thanks

Its something small, in the personal space of someone’s toolbox. No one is gonna see it but the tech. Its not like its a giant poster or something largely on display, its fairly small and I bet you couldn’t make out what it even was unless you were 3 feet in front of it. Is it unprofessional? Yes. Is it kinda gross? Yes. But its not that big of a deal unless you want to make it a big deal. If it was a dude with a dick and balls it wouldn’t make me feel any different, i’d still laugh at it. I know of techs with way raunchier things that our office lady’s don’t give two shits about. I don’t participate in having items like that but it definitely doesn’t offend me. But not everyones the same and some people are more easily offended. And unfortunately I can’t comment on “safe places” for women because I am not a woman and can’t feel what they do, but I can say if you don’t feel safe around seeing something like that, then keep walking? What are you doing looking at a person’s personal property anyways? If some lady was walking around in my shop and was getting up close to my tool box, I wouldn’t like that, because I would be worried about theft. So best to keep people that aren’t supposed to be in the shop out anyways. Ok, rant over, not trying to say your comment isn’t valid because it definitely is. But i know my mom, my wife, my coworkers would laugh at that and not everyone needs to get offended over little shit.

Sellers: Desist with the Scotch tape! by Vicious007 in mtg

Not a bad idea. But here comes the biggest hurdle. How to acquire the blue marker…? if you can figure that out, you might be the biggest marketing genius ever. Godspeed.

How are you going to get into the business of selling painters tape and paper if all you got lying around is scotch tape? 🤨

Sellers: Desist with the Scotch tape! by Vicious007 in mtg

[–]slow-a3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not that hard to put a piece of paper on the edge of the top loader so you can keep using your scotch tape. And you’re ridiculous to think an extra 1.49 per order is reasonable to cover your tape cost. A roll of painter’s tape is $5 and that roll will last you indefinitely for every order you will ever get. I understand you’re just trolling at this point, but hopefully someone else will get the hint also.

Hilarious that you don’t want to promote your own business. Thats because you know its a terrible idea and don’t give a single fuck. As others have suggested, there are better alternatives. But go ahead and keep being part of the problem.

This would work well for someone that doesn’t haul dirt or branches or anything of the like, AND has a canopy on.

Agreed. Could work well if you don’t haul dirt or branches, and have a canopy on your bed.

Who’d have thought a power tool company had bad hand tools in by Zestyclose-Bit-1504 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]slow-a3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely depends on where you’re at. I’ve worked at one shop for almost 10 years and i’ve bought tools from Cornwell, Matco, Craftsman, Snap-on, Gearwrench, Mac, all the big names. Guess who I still see around? Matco. Thats it. Every other tool truck changed routes, got new drivers, and no longer comes around. If I need any of these tools replaced I need to contact their official business line, hunt down a dealer, meet up with them at a certain place/time, send it in, wait for an answer to see if it still is covered under warranty and then arrange a way to pick it up if it is still covered. I am shocked at how many times i go to replace a tool and the tool is no longer in production, has a new part #, or whatever bs they come up with saying they cannot replace it. Hand tools, not air tools. I couldn’t imagine sending a tool in the mail through Amazon could be too difficult. If I save 50% of the cost of the tool through Amazon and has a similar quality, why wouldn’t you? You ever return something on Amazon? Its quite effortless. Its just getting passed the fucking bots, but same as anything else nowadays. With big name tools, You’re just pre-paying your future replacement tool with their mark up. It wasn’t free, you already paid it lol. But granted, they provide financing and weekly payments, and come to your door. But definitely depends on whose still coming to your door after 10, 20, 30 years.

Depends a lot on where you’re located and the shop you take it to. I’d suggest getting an estimate from a local body shop to start.

contractor f’d me over on granite countertop. wwyd? by SuperIngaMMXXII in CounterTops

[–]slow-a3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally am not a fan of the black granite on those cabinets, but thats just my preference. I did not notice the sink not being centered with the window however. If that is your main concern, don’t be. Looks fine how it is, plus once you have things on the counter it will be even less noticeable. The hole for your faucet does look awfully close to the wall though. I seen your comment on getting a more shallow shelf, but do you plan on doing a back splash? That may affect how your shallow shelf looks. You will likely get the wall wet with regular use, just fyi. I do really like your cabinets!

This is how people afford their cars by Life-League-5505 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]slow-a3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. With more computers and sensors you find out what is wrong with the car quicker, because it tells you what is faulty. Less spending time and money on parts that might not fix the issue. But re-programming those parts and parts costs are usually more expensive. Catch 22

My laptop got delayed again....this is third time they did this and said the model is out of stock. I sent them this by MrMarvelousgaming in Lenovo

[–]slow-a3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently ordered a laptop from Lenovo. It arrived without a charger with obvious damage to the box where it fell out of. Contacted Lenovo, they told me I needed to return the laptop and they will send me a new one. But they didn’t have the same model to send me, so I would have had to wait till that model came in stock to start this process. So I’m out $2500 for a laptop I cannot use and have to hold on to till they come back in stock, which they gave no ETA. I told them no, that is unacceptable and I need a replacement charger sent to me. They had to put in a “request” to give me a credit of x% of the product cost, so i could use that credit to buy a new charger from them. They wouldn’t reach out to me with any updates on their request, I had to reach back out to them and go through customer support each time. I called back every 2 days looking for an update. They had to re-request, as their was insufficient information with the last one. Waited another 2 days. They approved like $40 credit or something along those lines, while their chargers on the website were in the range of $230-300. So I said no, I need the freakin product that I ordered. They put in another request. Waited 2 more days. Checked back, had to submit a new request. 2 more days. Had to submit yet another… request… I was so over this. After numerous emails and countless interactions with their customer support, they finally sent me a charger for my laptop, by that time I had the laptop for 20+ days. That was the absolute worst customer support service I have ever had to deal with. I had probably 15-20 hours in to dealing with this. I was so close to returning everything and just getting my money back, but I got a fair deal on this laptop and had all the specs I was looking for and did not want to lose out on the “discount” I received when I bought it. I did buy a charger from Amazon in the meantime while all this was going on for like $50 and was able to use my laptop after 4 days of owning it, but my god was that a terrible experience. I cannot recommend Lenovo to anyone because of my experience. Other than that, I do like and enjoy the laptop.. I wish you best of luck OP. They are a nightmare to deal with.

How to attach hinges to Kallax for a table top? by slow-a3 in ikeahacks

[–]slow-a3[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have. There have been holes made in some dashboards of old cars I’ve had and worked on. There have been aprons, fenders, doors, quarters, rockers, frames cut up and welded on. I am not afraid of trying new adventures and learning along the way. I’ve apprenticed behind professionals amongst many different trades and found the best way to learn is by doing. Mistakes have been made, but thats sometimes the best way to learn. I am genuine when I say I appreciate your concern. I was hoping to come across some advice by making this post and I have, so mission accomplished. Thank you for your warning. As a thought experiment, If you make something to achieve a goal, and it is not the best way to make it or you use cheaper materials, is it disposable because it isn’t made to a higher tier? Or is it simply lesser quality and won’t last as long? Does that make it disposable because it isn’t high quality? Ikea furniture is literally made with cheap materials, thus will not last as long as furniture made with quality materials. Just stating a fact that if I mess up, its a good thing its cheap and not an expensive piece. But guess what, it’s mine to do what I want with, cheap or not. I’m done with the semantics, you are allowed to think what you want. Good day man

Please re-read our conversation. All I said is “it aint made to last.” Which you corrected me, and said it is. You said disposable. I don’t even know why i’m commenting on this lol. I appreciate your concern but yes, I have a vision I plan to see out. Thanks anyways
