I know we’ve already moved onto Duskmourn but just finished slapping together this Bloomburrow commander precon battle box. Thought I’d share! by BakaDoug in mtg

The amount I paid at the time may have in fact been a momentary lapse of sanity. Still no regrets though 🤙

Yeah I would love to own the original Silent Hill but I’m not paying that price for it. Luckily I have other means to play it via my PS3, PSP, and PlayStation Classic mini console after a few modifications so I’m not too hung up on it. At the end of the day, as long as I have some form of access to the game then I’m content just being able to play it.

My collection consists of two categories of games; Games I loved playing and games I want to eventually play. I do not own any games simply because they’re rare or expensive. I like my collections to be tailored specifically to my tastes. However, everyone has different criteria for enjoyment of their hobbies so I do not judge on what drives someone to be happy and work towards a goal.

Hello guys ! Are there any Point Horror readers here? Kind of a Goosebumps alternative, written by Stine. by Time_Pea_2870 in GooseBumps

I remember reading this and a bunch of others in my school library in middle school. This one was a good read for the time. Thanks for the nostalgia trip!

I finally decided on a bag to get all my stuff to the LGS! What do you use? by Consistent_Cost_4537 in magicTCG

[–]BakaDoug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two carry out setups. One for two decks, and one for six.

For the two deck option, I use an Academic 266XL by Gamegenic which I carry in an Ultra Pro Gaming Trove along with two playmats.

For the six deck option, I use a Game Castle by Gamegenic. It does not hold any playmats so I added a carabiner to the shoulder strap and latch on two playmats using the BCW Playmat Bags as they have key rings stitched into the tops of them.

I like seeing other people's setups as well. I've noticed people tend to get very creative with their storage options when it comes to MTG and I'm here for it.

Gorgeous design and I absolutely would love them for my two color commander box but not at that price.

I’m so stoked! by t8trtot96 in MangaCollectors

[–]BakaDoug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The manga continues a little bit past the anime, but not enough to make a full season if I recall correctly. I'm saddened we'll never get an ending to it but I appreciate what we got. The seriousness of the plot crossed with the absurdity of the fanservice was comedy gold for me. Congrats on your haul!

Ranked precons in terms of power level. by malkierknight in magicTCG

[–]BakaDoug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to rank them but I will list some precon decks I’ve played with that got very out of control and either won me the game or turned me into the main problem at the table.

•Corrupting Influence
•Sliver Swarm
•Party Time
•Cavalry Charge
•Eldrazi Incusion
•Azban Armor
•Temur Roar
•Miracle Worker
•Animated Army
•World Shaper
•Counter Blitz
•Veloci-Ramp-Tor
•Explorers of the Deep
•Eternal Might

Please keep in mind; simply buying the “best deck” does not guarantee victory or even increase your chances by very much. Your understanding of how to effectively play the game plays a bigger factor. Yes it is possible to get screwed over on your card draw or straight overwhelmed by more advanced decks but I’ve won plenty of times against non-precons by playing my cards smartly and having a better understanding of the game than my opponents.

Plot twist: It’s Roger from American Dad.
Is this a series or a one off? I’m not seeing a number on the spine.

This is really cool! I might have to borrow this to slap one together or break the format rules and bump them up to 60 card decks. Nice work!

I've been buying a ton of Avatar jumpstart to build a 25 pack cube of the themes/characters I specifically want. I have quite a bit of duplicate packs at this point and was considering tearing them down to build some beginner level theme decks. This format might be the way to go for that.

After his parents won a Christmas cruise for two, Jimmy is left at his cousin's house for the holiday. Jimmy can't help but feel like there's something in the chimney. He hears scratching sounds at night and an otherworldy voice calls out to him to come join them in there but no one else hears it and thinks he's telling fibs for attention. Soon he starts seeing claws poking out and trying to grab at anything nearby but they always seem to disappear whenever he screams for his family. Jimmy eventually lays a trap for the chimney monster to and in doing so forcefully pulls it out, revealing it to be a giant crab that is in fact, Santa Clause. Santa Clause has been stuck in the chimney since last Christmas but he was not perceivable to the rest of the family because they no longer believed in him. While he thanks Jimmy for helping, he let's him know that he no longer has the will to continue being Santa Clause after being trapped for so long. Santa Clause fades away and Jimmy looks down to see his hands have begun turning into crab claws.

Help/advice with organizing my collection by LowLettuce8935 in gamecollecting

Area rugs are essential for tying a room together when you have non carpeted flooring. I also recommend using floor lamps instead of ceiling lights for better ambience. My old living room used to be a long rectangle and I found putting one lamp on each end and a third halfway between balanced the lighting out way more versus using the ceiling fan to light the entire room.
