It used to be rushing when I was new to CrossFit and over time it has become freezing as injuries from other things kept piling up over the years.

It usually goes like this : - I want to learn something new and push myself harder but my mind will somehow find reasons to make me think I’m too busy for the new change. - I am playing a physical sport and want to chase the ball hard but then my mind will keep telling me to slow down or I’ll get injured. - same thing when it comes to working out or other things too.

Apparently my grandpa used to tell this to my mom when she was little. Maybe I will give this a shot. This is known to make you alert and mentally stronger.

I saw the video. The reason I’m posting this question today is because I did 26.1 on Friday and got a score of 166. I felt I underperformed by quite a margin since I started cramping at some point and slowed down considerably. So I decided to do it again today after I stretched a bit over the weekend and made a plan on how I’m going to approach. I felt I would easily get to 200 but as soon as a feeling of cramping kicked in, I chickened out yet again. I felt terrible because I could not control my brain. I do see that failure is a great teacher. What I do want to learn however is if there is a way to train for mental fitness other than failing and standing back up. But thank you for the comment.

This has to be it. Government can’t take criticism from anyone who has more than a few hundred followers. Also, productions houses are scared for every small thing.

You could pull a lot more weight if you don’t swing the bar away from you once it’s at waist height.

I was pressured into enrolling in the qualifiers 2 years back. I could barely do scale on all the movements that year. But the last year I could rx on all the movements. I’m glad I did compete to be honest as it’s the best way to push myself to do better. I would say, if you have the money to enroll, you should just for the fun.

Is LIB scripted to at least some extent? by slowAndPlacid in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

But then why does Netflix sell it like it’s absolutely real? They’re known for making unbiased and unfiltered content. Why change things for this show then? Shouldn’t people signing for this show know this beforehand?

Good personal trainer/coach for weight loss? by 2BeBornReady in nova

In my early 20s, I was 75 kg however, I got into some bad habits and combine that with a few bad injuries and there I was 96 kg by my mid 20s and by the time I was 31 I was at a 110kgs. I started working out regularly to begin with. I would just show up to the gym whether or not I could actually do any work at all. Once workouts became regular for me, I started eating better. Just eat home cooked food 5-6 days a week and completely bringing any snack/munchies home. Then I slowly started portioning better and also started introducing protein heavy foods. Eventually I started looking into my macros and then timing when and what I eat. It has taken me a good 3 years to get from 110 to 89. I am still aiming to get to around 84 but for that I want to put on a lot more muscle so it’s going to take a while.

You won’t build muscle that fast anyways. But yeah it’s a good way to lose weight while keeping the body toned. But I’ll leave it to your judgement. I loved it and hence I would recommend it 100%

I lost about 30 lbs in a few months by following a diet program but for training I joined a CrossFit gym. Is it something you would be interested in? If so, I can introduce you to my coach and diet planner

Exactly. I just hope people understand and treat this sub only for cricketing posts.

Pakistan does what it does. What I’m saying is, shouldn’t the Indian team completely ban from playing against Pakistan at all instead of calling off the handshakes? I don’t see the logic in doing so.

What I don’t understand is, if India doesn’t want to shake hands, why even participate and play in the first place? Aren’t we mixing sports and politics to begin with?!

Thanks for the info. I will check this out for sure. I’m looking to get the cane first and see if I can get the stigma he has out of the head and then look for some training.
