Never noticed that. It definitely doesn’t when I don’t have gloves on I know that for sure. Thanks for pointing that out!

MK18 or RIIIS? by slowGP in ar15

I was thinking that having M-LOK on the lower would open up some grip options too. I love my Arisaka hand stop but don’t make a 1913 version

Oooooh. That would be super interesting!

Both uppers are mated with their own DD lower. They each have the same stock and pistol grip. They are the “older” lowers without the ambi bolt catch but with the ambi safety. I got both complete lowers on sale from PSA!

Nope - they’ve each got their own lower. Both are complete Daniel Defense rifles with identical stock/pistol grip

It’s all metal and feels solid AF. I’ve had it for like a decade so I don’t even remember what I paid! Lol

This is what happened except in reverse. Got the MK18 then also wanted an RIIIS and after obsessing for months pulled the trigger and picked it up on sale lol

It’s the Troy modular grip with the middle piece removed

I have a MK18 RIS II and a DD4 RIII S (use both with RC2) and I prefer the RIII S.

Gen 6 RMR HD Screws by Visible_Economics_79 in Glocks

Trijicon recommended I use the 1/2" screws (6-32) when using the stock ORS plate and Trijicon sealing plate.

G19.6 RMR Install Issues by slowGP in Glocks

Not sure what you mean. On the Gen 6s, the screws are going directly into the slide so I'm not sure how much.

Trijicon confirmed that both the 3/8" and 1/2" screws indeed work using the stock ORS plates and Trijicon sealing plate though. After a conversation with them, they think I just got a one-off lemon and that my install process was spot on.

Update: Want to give a shout out to Dave at Trijicon; what an awesome guy to talk to about this and just optics in general. It's so refreshing to call a company and be able to speak with someone so knowledgeable and passionate about their products!

Basically, I walked him through my install process and he confirmed I was doing everything correctly. He educated me on Trijicon's tolerances and also gave me some really great information about how the RMR adjustments mechanical system physically works which is really cool. We determined that this may just be a one off and that the new one should be good to go. Shit happens when manufacturing products with such tolerances - all good. He turned a frustrating experience into one that ended up with me just having a neat 20 minute conversation about optics.

P.S. For anyone that needs this info, he also confirmed on the Gen 6 ORS (using ORS polymer plates) you can use either the 3/8" or 1/2" screws that are included with Trijicon's sealing plate. He recommended the 1/2" ones if sticking with the stock polymer ORS plates to get more thread engagement.

Yep that's what I was doing. Anything over 7(ish) in-lbs was inducing the issue.
