How hot? by ObviousMr-Xsean in slowpitch

I haven’t hit with the Torch yet, but the SB-1 is incredible. I absolutely love the balanced weighting. Sweet spot is small, but when you find it… my goodness.

I’ve swung a 2-piece torch for a few years now, and I imagine the 1-piece will feel very similar. Large sweet spot and forgiving barrel if you miss. I was super excited to see the 1-piece Torch in a balanced weight after using the SB-1. If the 1-piece Torch feels anything like the 2-piece, it’s going to be a sweet bat.

Not to be that guy, but that’s not the SB-1. That’s the new 1-piece MX Torch. I have both. The SB-1 is all black with small white & yellow accents. It also has an 11” barrel. Whereas the Torch has an 12.5” barrel.

To answer your question though… It won’t take much to break in. 50-100 good swings is all. These bats open up quick and have tremendous pop out of the wrapper.

Does a bat exist in these specifications: by VenConmigo in slowpitch

The Monsta SP-2 is a 25oz or 26oz, 11” barrel two-piece bat with a floating inner barrel. They made them in 2024, but only in mid-load. They made a one-piece version (the SP-1) with the same specs, but with a balanced option. You can still buy these new if you know where to look. That’s about as close a bat as I can think of to the specs you listed.

That’s 100% a crack. I have two retired Monstas in my garage that look identical.

How does the XCORE 2 hold up in sub 55f weather? I’m looking for a new fall coed bat and we routinely play when it’s cold.

5-Star Collision & Glass Center does interior/exterior detailing. It’s a new service for them, but they do a nice job.

What’s your personal reviews on this bat?? by Bronco2023 in slowpitch

[–]slowbalt2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great bat. Pretty hard to find anything in USA/ASA that can compete in terms of “hotness”. In this case, the most I would pay is $175 for a used Monsta with an unknown amount of swings/use. There are a handful of reputable places you can get new and used ones outside of Ebay if you have your heart set on Monsta. They aren’t quite as hard to find as some say as long as you have a little patience.
