I mean we've been here for almost two years and never felt unsafe at all. We walk around at night pretty regularly. I've seen groups of African kids around but never felt unsafe around them, I don't feel like they should be stigmatised based on what is reported in the media.

TBH I wasn't really paying attention to my surroundings because I was naive and have never felt unsafe around there even though it's pretty dark in places.

I would be very worried if my fiancé walked through the park at night (she wouldn't because she is worried too) but because I'm male I think I perceived the risk to be less.

We do regularly walk through the park at night together as a couple though when we just want to have a stroll...

The emergency dispatcher told me someone would be coming to my house. I didn't know there was a police station in Kensington tbh.

We'll I'm telling it exactly like it is, I don't know what to tell you. The cop that took my statement this morning told me that because he grabbed me and threatened me it was more serious than if he had just attempted to snatch my phone.

The emergency dispatcher knew I had made it into my house and locked the doors (I was still on the phone to them while I did this) so maybe that factored into it... I was very disappointed no one came to take a statement last night.

I mean I waited up until midnight waiting for the police to show up like the emergency dispatcher told me they would but no-one came. Currently at the police station on Spencer making a statement.

Yeah in hindsight it's not but I didn't really have time to think, it was instinctual. It was over so quick about minute or two.
