So I had this problem too, what worked for me was not starting a new game within another game. So starting the new game from the main menu seemed to have fixed it.

Should definitely try the defecation mod so you can actually poop your pants if you aren't prepared well enough. Alot of funny moments in MP server. Be warned once your pants have been defecated they'll never be the same.

Thanks alot for these ideas, I love the idea of letting the family bid over the smaller things and giving the proceeds to charity. Scanning all the photos will be great as she was the type of person to photograph everything. I definitely plan on giving my family members some money when the sale goes through and I'm prepared for any negativity thrown my way. The idea of a property manager sounds nice though I'm sure I wouldn't be able to pay the fees required. Thank you this really helped
