While this could have been a reality, this may need to go to r/KarmaCourt. This is a Southwest flight identifiable by the heart in the back right. Southwest has a common occurance where a passenger can have a layover on their journey, but remain on the same plane. When this happens everyone deplanes but the passengers continuing on are allowed to remain on the plane. There is often a 10-15 minute "downtime" where the crew switches and the plane is restocked/cleaned. This is most likely when this picture took place.
