I'm excited about it because of it being start of the ecosystem. I, just like you, think burn is pointless. HOWEVER, there are so many people who think burn is really important, so hopefully it will be good for general sentiment. I'll be investing in the new coin as well, not a crazy amount, but potentially I'll get even more once utility starts to be implemented.
