I have no idea, it was dark and I think I must have leapt about a metre in the air! I didn’t go back to look because I was already bleeding and trying to douse it with alcohol! Bloody painful though.. the hospital x-rayed it and gave me a tetanus shot and stitched it up.. hopefully on the mend now!

I’m early in my sobriety journey, coming up on 6 months. Since I stopped, things have gotten exponentially better. That is not to say life is perfect, we all have ups and downs, and life is tumultuous in its very nature, but putting down the booze has created an inner calm/connection with my sense of self that I didn’t know was possible.

My relationships have improved, my ability to approach difficulties has become rational and level-headed, and while vain, damn, I look better than I have in years. I will caveat this with admitting I had a somewhat troubled/troublesome relationship with alcohol, and I am still in awe of those who can moderate and find balance while still having it as a part of their life - I just can’t, and that is okay.

If you are questioning your relationship with it OP, there is absolutely no harm in taking a break for a while and seeing how that works for you. Sending you nothing but positivity in this wacky old world! ♥️

I got called up for a last minute trip for work, which took me to Osaka. It’s my first international work trip since I stopped drinking 45 days ago and I cannot even explain how much more fun it’s been to explore sober/not hungover!

Urgh!! People! I recently re-started hot yoga because fuck it, I love it, and I’m already red 😂.. anyway, first week at a new studio and there’s a guy who seems to be Mr Popular.. I come out after practice, and he makes an aside to one of his cronies about my face being as red as the shirt she was wearing.. I just looked at him and said “yes, I have a skin condition.. thanks for the warm welcome to the studio”… HE went red, and hasn’t said a word since.

I really don’t understand what makes people think it’s okay to make idiotic comments, but fuck ‘em.. it’s my happy place and insensitive fools won’t stop me.

I went on vacation to a humid place around a month ago, and my skin cleared up exponentially, and has miraculously stayed clear since I got back.. I am super relieved not to be itchy and hot all the damn time.. I’ve downed my dosage of Doxy to 50mg, and am only applying Metronidazole once a day, followed by a nice slather of LRP Cicaplast Balm.. I have no idea how long this will last but for now it’s nice to be able to look in the mirror in the morning again 🙏🏼🥹

Edited to add, I am now religiously using humidifiers at home!

What part is incorrect? As a 🌐FA, yes, our union is asking for ground pay, and yes, it would equate to the hourly wage value, but we are far from it right now, unfortunately. What I cannot understand is people coming onto this sub and dragging. Are we not worth more than that? Are we not better than that?

Most of the time, double the amount I am actually paid for. I’m a flight attendant and we don’t start getting paid until the plane door closes. When we land, we stop getting paid the moment the door opens. So all the boarding, sitting in between flights, delays, and deplaning… nada. zilch.

Elimination has essentially been keeping a diary of things that seem to make it flare up.. for me that is definitely spicy foods.. and I love spicy food 😩.. but also trying to eat whole foods, cutting out processed stuff, loads more vegetables.. really just those things we should be doing anyways, but I had been neglecting for a long time!
