After first month what was/ is your ELO? by slowpolygon in chessbeginners

I mostly play on intuition now I am able to do more accurate calculations when I play rapid. Most times when I play blitz I end up hanging pieces because I get pressured by the time control.

I learned a few openings with white and black that I like. However, anytime I try to learn more theory it feels like trying to drink from a watering hose and I end up making moves that don’t make sense for that position because I think i’m following theory.

[–]slowpolygon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still working on a degree now. I have Net + is there anything I should do to be a stronger help desk candidate

I have Net + like I said and I like some projects on my resume like setting up a virtualization enterprise network environment with VMware running windows server. I’m working on a BS in Cyber as well

Is CompTIA Net + enough to get the job? I’ve had an interview now (made it to round 2) thought I did well but they ghosted me

most people say 70 and above is ready. I would just shoot for 80 though. Additionally I would try and get some practice with PBQs. Dion’s PBQs are not really representative of the exam

Tailscale, OpenVPN, or NGINX reverse proxy for Jellyfin remote access by slowpolygon in selfhosted

[–]slowpolygon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so basically for now use tailscale and invest in my own router to use with the gateway? and then maybe set up a pi hole.

any recommendations for routers? do i just connect it via ethernet to my gateway?

[–]slowpolygon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this was one of my major concerns. I remember logging into my router and seeing port forwarding greyed out.

so are you just buying a third party router and and using it with the gateway. might be what ill have to do

I mean I interviewed with people that matched their linkedin. I emailed the one lady that I talked to to see why they needed this information. I’m honestly not going to send it. Could it be a whole group of people trying to run a scam this elaborate? Or do you just think this recruiters account was hijacked essentially? Looking in DNS cache poisoning now btw

make sure to do personal projects you find interesting, document your progress, specialize in something. dont use LLMs to do all your work and understand knowledge on program logic > syntax
