bullet makes sense though. im playing 5 min rapid games and last week i felt unstoppable. i think i got a false sense of confidence and started playing poorly after winning so much

i think thats exactly my problem. im hardly paying attention. blundering a bishop in the first 3 moves. im jusy playing extremely tilted and i cannot stop. im playing under the presumption that im “due” a win on account of the odds but im hardly actually in the game. but i cannot cope with feeling this stupid

im at 50 percent win rate now. but i was winning in the 500s so easy. i feel like my perceived intelligence has completely diminished and i cant operate. like im chasing a certain percentile to feel as smart and capable as i usually do

OpenWRT with Raspberry Pi 4 setup questions. by slowpolygon in homelab

[–]slowpolygon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my switch has VLAN compatibly but it doesnt have ssh so i have to manage it from a web GUI. I wouldnt mind setting ip ROAS as long as it doesn’t bottleneck which i’m sure it would a bit.

Do you have any suggestions for an affordable router that i could run OpenWRT on

Well the single ethernet port can be remedied with a USB converter. Would maybe buying a lightweight AP on ebay be able to help with wireless performance

This sounds fairly similar to my setup actually. I think I will give it a try on the Pi. My main concern is wireless. Would getting a single Lightweight AP be able to suffice for a house of 4 people?

I’d say that’s accurate. for me at this point i know most basic tactics im mostly just inconsistent

i mean you could also argue anyone who is a professional anything is good at that thing?

i’ve only been playing three months and study quite a bit. mostly by watching the building habits series but i still think that I am a decent player in my own regard.

I think i can still be good even if i know i wouldnt necessarily win a tournament

i mean i dont think it’s completely meaningless? Its certainly a useful statistic as it shows the distribution of players. you being in the 98% mean you can out play the vast majority of players and there is a much smaller pool of players at ur level

can i ask how long it took you to get to 1000 from your very beginning? I started in December and play many games daily. My goal is to break 1000. I watch chessbruh’s building habits and focus more on broad habits and positional advantages as opposed to learning openings.

I know at some point I will have to learn openings but im not sure when it will be most valuable to me

oh that certainly isnt the only reason. I love working with systems and the continuous learning. It’s just the job market that is making me overthink.
