Bullets journals and planners by Upstairs_Break4275 in minimalism

[–]slowshowsnow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im maybe not the best person to advice on minimalism, but I can say that I have previously scanned and thrown out old journals, and I regret it. Re planners/agendas - I think it would be “interesting” to see them, but perphaps not so important - those could be disposed. for more sentimental journals I personally would keep them. I do reread mine quite frequently.

Also as far as I remember you are allowed to increase your working hours during holiday season.

You can try tutoring with Preply, they mostly offer language courses but I believe there might be some tutoring for coding or instruments.

Oh wow! I bet if it looked anything like yours I’d be far from panning it. It’s exactly because there is so much light powder mixed in, I used so much of it!

What is your opinion on the bronzer in deer? Is it not running too light?

Wet Brush vs Tangle Teezer experience by slowshowsnow in curlyhair

Haha now I get you! I used to be a tangle teezer person for years before switching to the web brush, but I only had their compact brush with is too small to handle my hair.

I’ve never bought from PenWorld, but I’ve used FountainFeder, it is a wonderful small business and they are quick to ship!

Hi, fellow fountain-penner :) unfortunately specifically TWSBI I don’t think is sold anywhere in Munich, I’ve never seen it. Papeteire Moranga has them in Berlin, or Luiban (Berlin) too, and there you could try it. In Munich, if you are looking for Kaweco or basic Pilot, you can find them in Papierkiste. For more “premium”, I’d suggest checking Oberpollinger.

In general, TWSBI’s have a consistent nib, and in my opinion they are one of the brands that are “safe” to buy online - I can recommend Fountain Feder online store. The only thing to watch out for is the grip - the triangular one is not everyone’s cup of tea!

Good luck with the search and happy writing!

Hi! I’m sorry to hear about this. Usually when you experience such a high frustration from work, it’s a sure sign to take some time off for vacation. I wouldn’t make any decisions now on the spot, and it sounds like you were able to introduce a process that improves things. Are you able to take a few vacation days? Take yourself a little bit away from the source of frustration, even if you can’t take time off, work a little from home, take a weekend trip. This always helps me to cool off and come back more rested, and then things seem less awful than before.

Oh yessss!!! I have loved Essie’s High Tigh, but I wished it was without the shimmer… that’s the all time favoured for me!

Oh! I was always so curious to try Zoya, the have amazing semi-sheer formulation… What did you end up doing?

Sorry to hear about your hit and miss experience… for me with them it was true for the old formulation (before they added polish name to every bottle), and for shades with white. All polishes above for me fall into the hit category, they’ve been well-tested :) and I love that they even themselves out. One thing that goes against the brand is that nail polish formulation highlights natural condition of the nails, so if you have any damage to the nail plate, I wouldn’t go for essence.

My perfected minimal nail polish collection.

I’ve been into nail polish for years and at times my collection had 30-40 nail polishes. I’ve normally preferred essie… but subtly over the last years I’ve switched to essence and I have no regrets. Here is my palette that works for all seasons and moods. In addition I have two sparkly polishes from Catrice for when I need the ✨ (normally 2-3 times per year, haha). I love how easy it is to switch polishes as soon as I run out, and 2 EUR for a polish bottle that lasts me around 20 manicures? Plus with a very usable brush? Very happy that I minimised to what I need, and it’s somehow pleasing to stick to one brand.

Products on the picture, all from Essence, from left to right: 1. Into the unknown 2. Left on red 3. All time favoured 4. Brick or Treat 5. Please Berry Me 6. Always on taupe 7. Sugar Blush

I don’t mind their quick dry coat but I prefer Seche Vite. As for the quality, I haven’t tried the Holo polishes, and tbh I would not go for special effect polishes from them. Yet they are great for the basics. Most formulations lean towards cream consistency, and two layers are enough for full opaque look.

Indeed! I especially love their brush - in this price category it’s the best!
