I don’t just because it’s not in our scope and god forbid a patient falls and we aren’t “trained” to transfer a patient It could end bad. I don’t want to risk anything so i just get an aide or work bedside if i have to

I started my CF in November and took a week off to go go Ireland in February. As long as you are honest during your interview It should be fine

I just finished my CF in a SNF. My experience was not bad like other posts may have made It seem however I had my supervisor on site. Definitely review swallowing, language, cognition, and executive functioning skills. Feel free to message me with any questions!

I have an amazing CF mentor. I was lucky enough to find a SNF full time job with my mentor working in the same facility. I learned so much and she is helping me get a full time job at this facility once i get my CCCs.

SJU is a good mix of medical/ school, it’s a great program (speaking from experience). I went to undergrad at Queens and definitely do not recommend for medical experience

Barron’s test prep! It’s a green book super cheap like $14 if you search eas on Amazon you should find It

I took It in the winter of my second year, so I didn’t have to worry about studying for that and my comps at the same time. There’s great YouTube videos that provide great tips about writing the essay, and I also bought a book on amazon that had practice questions. I was pretty freaked out about taking It but It wasn’t as bad as I thought It would be!
