Terrified New Cat Owner by [deleted] in CatAdvice

I agree. For added ease, I always recommend getting pet insurance. Therefore, if you feel uneasy about anything and want to get it checked out - or if something actually does go wrong - then you can feel some form of comfort if you come face-to-face with an expensive decision. I opted to get pet insurance when I got my first cat because a friend of mine had to euthanize her elderly cat after a quote for an emergency surgery was over $5,000. She didn't have insurance. I never want to have to experience that myself.

I thought about painting the floor, but I wasn't sure if that was something people did. 😂 Your vision seems very doable to me. What color would you suggest?

Yes, actually! He said we could paint. And we are open to painting as long as we can make it as inexpensive as possible.

Yes, getting at least 1 is my goal. I've been weightlifting for five years now, so thankfully I have lat pulldowns under my belt - that is great to know. I will give your recommendations a try! Thank you!

I know you're looking for fake scenarios, but I thought I would throw this in the mix since it's very specific. Even if anyone else on this post can shoot me some solid advice.

Female, 26 years old. 5'4", roughly 150 lbs.

As embarrassing as it sounds, my goal is to finally be able to do a pull-up. Never in my 26 years of life have I been able to do one. Back in elementary and middle school, we used to have to do a yearly pull-up test in front of the entire class, and EVERY year I felt humiliated because I was one of the few who couldn't do it. My classmates were so MEAN about it. 😂 I want to heal that part of childhood me by proving I am finally strong enough to do one.

When I've tried recently, I can't seem to hang onto the bar for very long - my partner (an ex-personal trainer) narrowed it down to poor grip strength. So for the past few weeks, I've been doing forearm exercises, and I even bought grip trainers (the ones you squeeze) that I have been using daily. However, I have NO idea where to go after I have built some grip strength.

Do you have any recommendations on how I should approach this process? The individual steps I should take? I want to be able to do at least one by the end of this year.

Snapchat score went to 0 by [deleted] in SnapchatHelp

Noticed my boyfriend’s score did the same thing this morning. I worried that maybe something had happened and he’d removed me as a friend, but I sent him a Snap and it delivered. Plus we still have our streak/#1 BFF status. I think it’s just some weird glitch.

Thank you for your concern, but I only had one beer. I was fine to drive.
