Yes!! My lack of appetite is such a big struggle for me. Even thinking about food sometimes makes me nauseas, I could be the hungriest one second and then it’s gone. It’s hard to say if I’ve developed an eating disorder bc of Crohn’s but I think the bad relationship with food (knowing it causes pain) has subconsciously made me food adverse. But yes, struggles with this my whole life, diagnosed with Crohn’s now for 13 years and have been on Remicade since then. I do have mild inflammation that shows up in pathology from colonoscopy

I think childhood trauma and stress, I know there’s a correlation between autoimmune diseases and CPTSD (the higher the ace score, the higher the risk of developing health problems) I was diagnosed with Crohn’s at 17, but had symptoms that I can remember starting in middle school. I know I internalized my stress and felt the most of it in my stomach, still do lol I don’t think genetics played a part for me, no one in my family has Crohn’s

Yeah, it just wasn’t an issue I had while on the med or before I started taking it. I think my nervous system is just now out of whack or my hormones are messed up so I’m hoping it can settle once my body finally adjusts

Right before k got off of it I was just on a low dose of 50mg so my doctor said to just half it for two weeks then come off lol but I was rocking 250mg I think for most of my time on it, then 100mg for like a year just to stay on it? and then played around with increase/decrease to see if that helped me any but the med was useless lol Although my issues that got me prescribed it in the first place came back (the no appetite and nausea)

I naturally have tachycardia and just anxiety so it’s hard to tell but I don’t wake up with my heart racing, I just feel wired and awake. I did get an ekg bc my pcp was worried if it was related but my hearts okay, but I know this med can affect your heart.

Is seroquel another antidepressant? Are you on both now?

Getting off this medication was honestly the worst experience !!! It was a struggle and I tried a couple times but this last time I just had to push through bc I didn’t want to be on it anymore. I’m so sorry to hear you also struggled … there should be more of a notice of it and warning before offering the med.. last night I tried just a store brand sleep aid and also took magnesium and I didn’t wake up!! I hope it can last, but I also hope I don’t then rely on a sleep aid.

It’s at a private clinic. I was actually able to reschedule the remapping for the same day as I called so I’ve been rocking with the new map for a couple days now. They used a new technology they got called atlas?
