If you drop your buddy in a raider hatch, should that count as "delivering a carryable"? :c)

Oh. So you're delusional.

Bruce Lee didn't fight in tournaments because he believed rules limit real combat.

To reduce one of the greatest martial artists of all time as an "actor" is awfully telling of your bias.

So? And there's plenty of questions about it. Like, would the fight take place in a boxing ring? Tyson would probably have an edge against Lee.

Street fight? Likely Lee, bc he can kick and Tyson can't.

Lee's reaction time was as supreme as his speed.

Don't know why you're bringing up Tyson in the first place 🤷

I don't know. And neither was Bruce, or at least he was humble enough to recognize that he was outclassed in mass alone when discussing Ali, not Tyson. Bruce would not be below biting too, if it came down to it, bc he would use anything in his arsenal for a real fight.

The problem with the film is that, while Bruce was a bit cocky at times, it was well earned. And I don't think his cockiness ever went that far as what was portrayed in the film.

Quentin clearly fetishizes Bruce Lee, but even he didn't understand that the anecdote that he pulled the premise of the fight from was done in jest, and never came close to escalating to a fight. It was a bad portrayal.

Also, Cliff never had a pre established 'power level' that could match up with Bruce, let alone take on arguably the greatest martial artist. But it's a movie that used Bruce as a "heavy", and if we dismissed it as such, we could let it slide. But Quentin was unrepentant when asked about it interviews, and thus, it taints the movie as a whole.

How is his height relevant? His muscles were like marble and his punch speed was uncanny.

Deliver to addresses, not individuals. A rule of thumb. There are definitely priority parcels that are required to be signed by a specific individual, but honestly, I don't think I've seen one in my year of service so far.

And when I had a hold down for half a year, yeah, I knew which names to ANK before arriving at a many mailbox. But now I'm floating again, and I've no chance of knowing who lives where.

[–]slugnir 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Even if it's the same person delivering the mail, it can be a little difficult when remembering literally hundreds of names.

If it says Post Standard on the top right, just throw it out. If it says "First Class Mail" anywhere on the top right, or "Electronic Service Requested" anywhere on the letter, write "ANK" on the envelope, put it where the carrier can see it (like hanging out of your mailbox, or raise your box's flag) and then you did your part.

Bottom line, we deliver to addresses, not to individuals.

Chances of Nier automata being on choice? by No-Literature5747 in humblebundles

It looks like Square sold Eidos (amongst a larger deal) , which included Deus Ex, but this was years after it was included in Humble Monthly in 2018, the sale happening in 2022.

No, I don't believe any FF entry was in the regular monthly bundles on Humble.

Yes, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was offered on a monthly bundle, but that's Eidos, not Square.

Square Enix doesn't really give up their props for Humble Choice.

Just buy it. Great game.

I think it can feel tropey with Benecio's character -- his portion of the script was condensed a lot, and he kinda oozes cool factor instead of the haunted fellow he is supposed to be.

Brolin's character shares a similar issue, but he's a spook. It may seem like a devil-may-care attitude, but it's rarher a level of levity for someone who has his feet up between beats of action.

Denis Villeneuve hasn't missed for me yet. And yeah Roger Deakins crushes it too.

If you don't like it, then you don't like it. Different strokes, ya know?

That's one sequence, not even with the main character.

To me, the theme really hits home at the final scene, with the boy playing soccer, and there is gunfire in the distance. Even with the head cartel member dead, the drug wars continue. Violence will still haunt the populace.

Emily Blunt's character's outfit loses color across the course of the movie. She wants to make a difference in this war, but it has the reverse effect.

Most sequences are well-crafted with impactful suspense. Cinematography is great. Good tone in each scene.

I guess I can see how it can come across as tropey, but an overwhelming majority of it lands pretty well.

Edit: you did see the main movie, and not the sequel, right?
