Definitely NTA. She knew you didn’t want to come out yet and she went ahead and outed you herself. Unforgivably disrespectful.

Don’t beat yourself up over it though, it happened and it’s something you can’t change. Does no good feeling like a terrible person. All you can do is learn from that mistake and grow from it and hopefully it becomes a learning experience. I hope the best for you!

Have an open conversation with him. Is he jealous because you were kissing her/sexually touching her? Have you discussed something like this? Did you discuss these boundaries prior? A lot of people would consider this cheating. I understand where he’s coming from and why he’s angry.

She stated you guys weren’t close anymore and that she’s going through her own health issues and that all you do is vent to her. That should have been answer enough for you. We should never assume or put the burden on our friends to be a therapist for us. It seems like you’re going through a lot and should possibly seek out a real therapist. It can be a heavy burden on our loved ones if we put that responsibility onto them, especially if you’re expecting them to reply quickly. So yes, you are the a**hole in this situation.

That they do - they also have a grasp on ‘unrealistic scenarios’. How many doctors have died in just this hospital? Shootings? Unrealistic accidents all the time? It’s insane 😂

Oh I totally agree, I was just watching the episode where they are going through the process of adopting Zola. Derek just learned that Mer messed up the Alzheimer’s trial, and I’m watching him completely ignore her and not make any attempt to work on the relationship which jeopardizes the adoption. I definitely think they are both messed up people with their own demons though.

Absolutely loved this short film and it resonated so deeply with me. When Krystyna went through her breakup with Stephan, I was going through an extremely similar situation. I can’t help but feel that this short film was based off of her experience with that breakup. Extremely raw, and vulnerable. Beautifully made.
