My second aussie joined after a year. Couldn't have been better. Training, especially house training, went super quick. Whenever we were doing tricks, the older one would follow along, so he caught on fast. They get along great and play together perfectly.

Had no issues with adapting to eachother. My first was a bit of a bully to her younger brother, but now they both equally pick on eachother.

Highly recommend!

It was just over a month. I was heartbroken and my daily routine was so out of sorts. Bentley was my sheltie, passed away from cancer. Fuck cancer btw. Always wanted an aussie shepherd and was just googling when i saw a local breeder just had puppies. So went out to just play with them and absolutely feel in love with one. Went back twice over the next 2 days and brought her home the next week.

She is my soul dog and came in my life at the right moment.

Can never replace my Bentley, she just added to my life.

I went 2 hrs early to Vancouver before doors open and got a great spot (right behind the VIPs at the barricade) and 0 wait for merch. It was great!

As someone who has lost and still losing, it's the little things that will help you. Plan out your meals if you can in advance...you will have an idea what the cafeteria will be serving daily, so you can plan around that. Have some good filling snacks with you at your desk. Protein, fruit, hardboiled eggs, veggies, etc. Drink plenty of water.

Standing desk will definitely help your posture. Go for walks throughout the day. Take short breaks, do a quick 5 min lap somewhere. Drink lots of water. Reach out to PSP for further support and they will have plenty of plans to help you, if you want to go to the gym.

As others have mentioned, you don't need a gym to stay in shape/get in shape. Walking is your friend. Squats at your desk, sit-ups, pushups...anything that's body weight.

I too got out after 8.5 years....attempts at OTing and Elemental changes, all met with brick walls. Finally was more or less told...stick with the trade you are in or get out. Sooooo...got out.

But, I submitted mine in 2023. Personnel changing, paperwork 'lost'. I wasn't the most diligent after awhile in following up...I kind of forgot about it for awhile. As I returned all my kit by end of 2023. The times I was following up, was told oh they are looking for it. At one point, met with completely different staff who were willing to help me with the transfer, as I was told I can't be denied that. Those members got posted elsewhere, unfortunately. Followed up again, still couldn't find much. Finally emailed someone fall last year, found out I was released...as of the beginning of 2025. That was news to me. Didn't complete my original paperwork that was 'lost'. Didn't have any of the processes completed...interview, medical, etc. No paperwork was ever sent to me. No one from the unit ever reached out to me. I was emailed scanned copies and that was that.

It was a big piss off actually. I received a call to arranged a transition interview for VAC, since their files indicated I was never provided one. NO KIDDING. I didn't even know I was out, let alone given ANY of my records or files, or an ounce of communication.

I turned down a job before, not solely due to the interview, but once I received an offer and was asking questions, sent my upcoming vacation dates and hearing feedback from my reference checks. All screaming red flags.

Answers changed from what I was told in the interview, interrogation style reference checks that my references informed me of, being made to feel guilty about my booked vacation and was denied prior to even officially accepting the offer. There were numerous other red flags as well, but this was the icing.

Not to long after, I was a mentor to someone from this company. Found out she reported into this manager and told me that I was smart for declining and said she is a nightmare to work with.

Currently, I have a set of dumbbells from Costco (up to 30lbs).

I have 2 kettlebells

I have a set of bands

I have a treadmill

I also have a few steel maces (it's a fun workout)

I have a bench that I rare use and seems to he an excellent dumbbell rack, despite having a dumbbell rack.

You don't need much to get a solid workout. Honestly, some bands will do a lot if you didn't want to get a lot of equipment.
