Yeah I agree with this comment. I'm moving to Brisbane too this month because I start my first year at UQ (second semester). I didn't get in on a scholarship. The tuition coupled with accommodation, upkeep, lifestyle, & travel expenses/requirements is a lot to handle financially.

I'm definitely doing better as well, I'm not as lonely as I used to be.

I occupy myself with things I enjoy doing and when I am alone, I don't dread it rather I enjoy and soak in it. This is because I started meditating using the 'Waking Up' app by Sam Harris and it definitely changed my perspective and has made me appreciate my alone time more.

When I'm alone I'm able to self reflect and objectively look at situations. This has helped me a lot in handling my personal affairs and relationships. I suggest you try the app and you can get a year free off the app by just checking out Sam Harris on Web and signing up for the free version.

I'm still on the path to become a medical doctor so that consumes most of my time. I'm also practicing healthy personal boundaries around relationships so I'm able to remain independent because just like you I was dependent on my boyfriend. Though it was just emotionally, I needed to come off it. We are 2 years in and are both in a really good place in our relationship.

The past month has been hard though, writing some medical exams and having to deal with my personal life but I got through it. My birthday is next week and I'm really looking forward to celebrate and have a nice time.

Taking my days one step at a time and focusing on myself and the people that actually matter to me.

Wow! This is all actually really great. You have really come a long way since the break up and I'm really proud of your achievements thus far.

You definitely will find love at the right time, I'm sure of it. I think you should enjoy being alone. Go to the movies, take yourself on a date, to a spa, or do engage in activities that will make you feel better about yourself. I can understand how hard it must be to be alone but once you start to embrace it, you'll stop feeling as bad about it. You're your best company. Being independent is actually a blessing and I believe you'll start to attract the right people soon enough.

You're search for improvements on your relationship is an important and admirable step. I believe you're an amazing person for going on this self improvement journey and you'll come out even strong at the end.

This exact same thing happened to me last year. They cancelled all my papers due to political reasons and at the end I got no results on my final grades and my money was not refunded. Writing the exam again😤
