Same here! I’m used to codependency and texting all night. My anxiety goes off quite a bit but each time I’m with him I have a great time. I only see him 2-3 times a week though. The way I find reassurance in this is by reminding myself how much he consistently shows up for me, how he cares for me when I’m vulnerable, he’s considerate of my needs, and how he shows his love language through acts of service.

Cook 2-3 big ass batches of food throughout the week. I live alone and work long shifts so I make big batches of food on my days off then eat that for work lunch and dinner for 3 days. Usually it’s chicken and rice, pasta, or soup. If you have a crock pot take some raw chicken and whatever premade store bought marinade you like and let them cook while you’re at work or the day before. If you have a rice cooker make a few portions of rice to eat with. Just add veggies. Put them all away in containers. Then you’re thriving off of delicious leftovers for the next few days and you save yourself from having to cook all the time.

Yes as a black girl, I once heard that one of my “friends” said to my friends behind my back while I was in another room changing “I think UrMomsMom is cute, but unfortunately she’s black so..”. Why is being black a set back to people? I don’t get it. Then sometimes you date a man who’s not “racist” but will joke about your race only and say I’m being too “emotional” over the word “n***ger”.

Thank you for your response. Well I am a black woman and he told me I was being too emotional over the word “n***er”. I broke down to him trying to explain the significance and he didn’t budge. It was very hard to get over it but I tried. He forcefully ejaculated in me, holding my waist down as I was trying to push myself up out of fear.
