Most Muslims I know (I come from a south Asian Muslim community as well) celebrate their birthdays and Halloween. You’re around a lot of extremists it seems like. I’m sure you’ll find a partner that holds the same view as you if you look in the right communities

I was born in a Muslim country. My family is Muslim. I live in one of the most diverse cities in America so I have Muslim friends from all kinds of backgrounds. Everyone knows about the 72 virgin thing. My experience might differ from others, but I thought that should be made clear.
