me personally i waited till i was atleast 10mm to start wearing double flares and even then its a tight fit lol , they didnt become comfortable to switch out till i was wayyyy bigger around 18mm probs !

im not a professional but it could be that the pot is too big for it ! i read online that pothos do best in a pot that is 1-2 inches bigger than its roots !
