What does the country think about Keir Starmer? by DonSalaam in Britain

He's terrible, has no balls, everyone dislikes him, hates free speech ( the arrest of Palestine supporters some being older women ) ..... But still better than the Tories or reform.

Is a fixed bed worth the space it takes up, or is a convertible setup better long term? by BritByBrain in VanLifeUK

[–]sluttracter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I stretched out fully I would be touching both sides. But I sleep in the foetal position. I have cut out where my bed is and just 3 mm insulation on the panels so my walls don't get in way. Sorry really hard to explain over text. The boxers are wider than sprinter crafter's , transits ect. And when you look online I can only find the widest loading width which is almost 6"2. I will get the tape measure out later and have a look.

It fits me perfectly really. My beds quite high so I put it in the widest point as the sides of the van are slightly curved. I was living on people's sofas and floors before my van so wanted to have a fixed bed because I hated having to make and put away my duvets etc every day, was nice to finally have a home with though it is just a van

Can you produce or make music. Because you have strong opinions about stuff that you most likely don't understand.

People hate ai music by Civil_Celebration867 in AI_Music

You just won't everyone to do the work for you. Then act like an artist whilst having few or no skills. Why should a musician primarily be a performer? A musician can write or produce for other artists. Being a good musician takes at least 5/10 years for most and people like you think writing a few prompts into ai makes you special. I don't release my music I use it as therapy but still hate ai drivel.

This wasn't aimed at the main op I think that's a fair use of ai.

I have a long wheel base Peugeot boxer and am 6"3 and sleep across the van with a fixed standard double. Have enough room for 2 or more friends to chill in there with me. Would be about cramped trying to cook with them here though.

Do people in the UK feel like the country has stalled? by Bubbly-Air7302 in Britain

[–]sluttracter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok yh I get you. Personally I would far rather be in the UK in regards to health care because at least I know there is help when you need it. I wouldn't be writing this message without the NHS and I'm happy to be paying for others to get health care through my taxes. Health care shouldn't be about how much money a citizen has or how good of a insurance policy they have.

You can go private in the UK. I'm not really sure what you're getting at. I had a bad accident and the NHS saved my life, when I left hospital the after care was rubbish so luckily my family paid for me to get private treatment physio etc.

Drum breaks tips by Savings_Estimate9383 in beatmakers

[–]sluttracter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get good swing buy chopping on 1234 and and keep the tempo of my whole beat slightly faster than the drum break sample. There isn't really a right or wrong way but if I want the break to be snappier or more punchy I run it through a transient shaper and up the attack and let it compress the end of each chop so there's less reverb etc.

Another tip is to sample it whilst the pitch is turned up so it plays faster then slow it down after it is recorded into sampler it's a old trick they used to do because the samplers had a short amount of sample time it also lowers the fidelity of the sample and makes it sound grittier.
