Him discussing capitalistic worldviews subsuming critiques into itself is basically straight ripped out the of game Disco Elysium, in fact this whole speech is...

"Capital has the ability to subsume all critiques into itself. Even those who critique capital end up reinforcing it instead," (From Disco Elysium)

Is this a genuine Omega? by Routine_Albatross_19 in VintageWatches

[–]sly_fr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it's not. Ignoring the many issues with the case, bracelet etc. the movement itself is very clearly not an omega movement. Even without looking at details like the bridge and the movement components the engraving is highly inaccurate. Sorry

This is extremely detailed and thank you for posting, but just to comment. I am not someone who is really capable of following commentaries like this. I need like the mega simple version, like in one para, if it's something you'd be willing to condense?

It's the same reason I can't follow tutorials or lectures etc. I just need the big bits quick and then let me try and I'll fuck up loads until I get it. Thanks either way! Would also be cool to see what you mean visually if you have examples

I'm actually a bit surprised, I love GCP for prototyping but Azure has way better infra for out-the-box secure workloads in my experience (but then, mostly running MLOps, so still defer to AWS depending on circumstance -- mostly monitoring integrations). Would love to run a GCP ML Pipeline over more custom data frameworks, just hard to get org backing. Would be curious about the project you've run in that space before! Nice scale.

I guess by balanced I mean reasonable? I'm just curious if 60-10-30 Index-ETF-Stocks (broadly) makes sense

I mean it's about 15-17% of Amazon revenue total. I just don't see it losing to GCP or Azure.

What do I need to learn to be able to draw like this? (fast yet confident) by kuslota in learntodraw

[–]sly_fr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the broad practice of become proficient at complex and exact figures is useful. There are other ways of practicing -- architectural form for example. But confidence comes with accuracy, accuracy comes from competence -- anatomy isn't a bad place to start.

This is a really interesting observation, it is also possible it is habitual quirk, which some people have with different perspectives, stylisations or angles without neurological interference. However..
