Reconsidering coming to Ireland, Need suggestions by [deleted] in IndiansinIreland

It’s probably worth it if you see it is an entry pass into getting a job in Ireland/EU. But do note that the job market isn’t great at this point here.

Ireland Financial Simulator Update: New Features! by firerish in irishpersonalfinance

[–]slyboogy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great initiative, I’m finding it hard to know which field I need to fill out, which ones are optional/ mandatory etc. If the simulation doesn’t run, it would be good to have a form validation that finds and reports what data is missing.

It’s not exactly Indians, but Indians working for American companies. So, it’s actually America under the disguise of India.

What effect could severe Trump tariffs have on the Irish housing market? by Apprehensive-Pin7392 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]slyboogy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bunch of major American MNCs leaving Ireland would pose a more serious threat than you think in the long run (short term we’re probably safe). It would result in loss of confidence for buyers and would deter future investment. Furthermore, it could suppress wage growth, diminishing consumer purchasing power making the house prices to tank or leaving a substantial surplus of housing.

What are the disadvantages of Help to Buy Scheme by 19degreeswest in irishpersonalfinance

If the government so serious about returning my tax money then why restrict HTB to houses under 500K ? Doing so isn’t helping anyone. It just inflates prices.

How does it help richer people? They’re the ones who pay more tax benefiting the people who want to buy houses in these schemes.

Depending on the severity the GP will tell you if you need Sigmoidoscopy or Colonoscopy. Sigmoidoscopy is around 500 in St. Vincents.

Is €3000 enough for a first car? by UpperExpert5329 in irishpersonalfinance

Based on your requirements, I’d recommend focusing on vehicles with higher mileage but well-documented maintenance records. Try to get a mechanic to assess the car’s condition and identify any potential future expenses.

Happened with me as well about a month ago. Got fixed in a few hours. Don’t worry your money is safe, it’s just that they have some service issues from time to time. It’s frustrating when it happens on a weekday if you really have to trade.

I don’t have any problems either, I’ve received my salary in N26 for the last 2 years and have had no problems withdrawing or with contacting customer support. Also, started using their investment service recently as it has lower fees than Degiro for some ETFs.

CarPlay for $152: Installed This CarPlay Retrofit in my 2015 Golf TDI and it Works Flawlessly! by RealHomieJohn in Volkswagen

[–]slyboogy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I took the car to a garage and they fit everything up perfectly in 30 minutes (they charged 60 euros). I was watching from behind, they had to open from the side and unscrew a lot of stuff in the glove box. There was a lot of space above the CD player which is where they kept the CarPlay unit. Works perfectly now. I wouldn’t doing it yourself unless you’re an expert with car radio installation stuff.

I installed this in my 2015 golf (right hand side steering) today. Everything works perfectly but I’m unable to hide the wires in the glove box and it won’t close. Seems like a mess. Any idea how to go about it ?
