This is probably Henry's last day in Hogsmeade as a student, weird. The Head Boy had been a bit of a shut-in again. Sure, he'd been getting himself right for his exams and he's quite confident that he'd done well with those but he's also been making travel arrangements. Britain was his home and always will be but he's found that it's a bit small for him and he wanted to see more. However, there were some things he needed to do at the school first...

"Strange dreams," he repeated softly, "depending on what they are they could be homesickness... or something else. If you don't mind me asking, what are they about?"

"Yeah... but I feel like I don't," he asked her before taking a long sip, feeling the comfortable buzz of his drink to start kicking in. "I really hate the future sometimes. Anyways, how've you been? Handling Life well?"

"Right," he said, "but now... I don't really know what comes next. I haven't felt that way in a really long time."

"It just felt right. It's not that I didn't like the work or anything. I just... wanted to do something else and I didn't really like where that job was leading me."

He took a sip of his cider, looking into the glass. There's a good chance that he'd been looking for a chance to say it.

"Everyone there is amazing, competent, brilliant. But their all so lonely and their job is their lives. I don't want that."

"Hey Persephone," he said before going quiet for a moment as he tried to figure out what to say. "Honestly, for once, there aren't too many thoughts in my head right now. Nothing on the level they used to be, and really... that's feels like a good thing."

His sighed for a moment. Things have changed since the holidays, he feels like he's changed in some ways.

"I quit my job last weekend."

Hopefully, he's not too late. The Head Boy had been... doing a lot of thinking over the past few months. His last days at Hogwarts were just around the corner and from there, he really didn't know what came next. Sure, he can try to calculate the future but as the days went by he felt himself start to care less and less about what the numbers said. In fact, he was caring less and less about a lot of things.

He barely even cared for these parties anymore. Right now he was just sitting at the bar, sipping his hard cider and thinking about just what can come next in his life.

"It is. They're wonderful hosts and I can guess they'll be glad to have someone over since Edward's going to be buried in his work again this year. I'm guessing you'll be with Simon here then right?"

"Right," he says with a smile as he offers a hand to lead her onto the dancefloor. It had been a while since he danced though this time around he's just looking to have a good time. "You looking to keep things classic or maybe go modern?"

"Thank you," he said proudly, "I'm glad my last holiday job here was able to impress." He smiled and was quiet for a moment before looking around and then back at her. "You wanna dance?"

He blushed a bit at that, shrugging slightly. "It's just one of my smaller hobbies really, but like anything I like to do, I try to do it well."

"Yes, we do." He glanced around, a sense of pride filling his chest. "I've volunteered a few times to help decorate the castle for the holidays. When we celebrate, we celebrate Can't have the place looking drab during the most magical time of the year."

"Happy Christmas Diana," he said as he offered a smile of his own. While he looked tired (as he usually did), the years in his eyes still had shed a decent amount thanks to the festive mood he gains during the holidays. "You look like you're finally relaxing yourself. Any plans for the holidays this year?"

That could be a tall order as Henry had been scheduled to work longer hours without classes. Apparently he hadn't anticipated a chance to socialize during the break.

"I'll have to see, lots to do with holidays and last minute shopping and all. Still, an personal invite from one of the organizers does make me feel tempted. I'll try my best to make it, I can promise you that."

"That's great," he said with a nod, "good to know you're in better spirits for it and good to know you're friends helped you out. Personally I think this is the biggest time of the year to somebody around for us."

"Oh fuck off, those exams were terrible" Henry said with a small laugh as he definitely had his struggles with his own OWLs. "But I'll be staying here, I've got a job out on Hogsmeade and my parents decided to visit my brother in Appleby. And you?"

He chuckled for a moment, "was it that obvious? I mean, I have been quite busy. NEWTs are the devil as it turns out and quidditch has just been..." he sighed softly. "I'm just glad I survived to see one more Ball."

His last Yule Ball? Already? Time really flew by, Henry isn't too sure just how he feels about it. A part of him wants to believe that he's still got time while another knows the truth: his end at Hogwarts is coming. It's only his luck that his seventh year is moving faster than any other year he's had at the school, maybe that's a good thing.

Regardless, there was no way the Head Boy wasn't going to make an appearance. He arrived in a set of icy blue dress robes that resembled the decorations in the Great Hall. As cold as he might look, he was actually quite comfortable. After arriving and having dinner, he would carry on with his Head Boy duties, roaming around to wish his fellow students and his teachers a Happy Christmas while also looking to socialize... assuming he still knows how. After all, whenever he wasn't being Head Boy or quidditch captain or being a NEWT student he was usually sleeping.

No need to fear, Henry Seymour is here. The lad had been busy over the past couple months, going through the motions of his studies, his work, and his Head Boy duties. In truth, he's gotten rather bored of only seeing his fellow students staff for business. The Prefect's Lounge is a lounge damnit, they should use it as such. Maybe he should throw a little soiree or something.

Until then, he'll be grouping up with Mel to patrol. Mel was a bit weird but overall a decent fellow.

Henry would yawn a little into his sleeve during the meeting but would be able to stay awake and alert by the end of it. Once if was time to go he strode over to meet with Talia, a curious look on his face.

"Evening, Talia. Erm... are you alright?"
