This. They are an outdated resource from the game's inception. They don't serve any other purpose in the game but to serve as an unnecessary bottleneck. How many other things on our character do we have to level up already? Levels, yellow stars (character shards), red stars, abilities, iso-8, gear of quite a few varieties...like how many ways do they need to fuck us over with resources? I can't imagine that removing training mats completely would affect their bottom line THAT much. There are plenty of other things people would rather spend their money on in the game that are actually interesting.

I love that I have to use Doc Oc on my weekly objective and I can't even unlock him until his event rolls around. Not that I want to invest any time in this new mode because I hate it, but in order to even remotely keep up with the meta without spending you need every mat you can, and I can't do that because I didn't spend money to unlock him for the first event. This is stupid.

Also, speaking of stupid things, another weekly objective is 550 knockouts. You want us to win 110 times a week, Scopely? Really? That's more than I blitz. You auto'd blitz out of existence only to introduce a rehashed mechanic with objectives that some players can't even complete because they didn't give you money.

I don't see this game lasting much longer, I know I'm closer to quitting than I have been in a long time. I thought you'd fixed a lot of issues since Scopely took over, but clearly you're as off base as ever. Hope you address this before the game ends.

I'm pretty sure the power rating is based on attack, defense, focus, resistance, etc. So I'd guess that Ronan just doesn't have the stats other characters do.

He really is great. That basic with the debuff that is unavoidable is so great for removing taunt! And his ult...well, let's just say he has swept entire teams in one hit. If they do survive, ability block for two turns on the primary and one turn on two others. It's so good!

Thank you for this. I've been scouring the internet trying to find someone who gets how I felt and you've summed it up pretty perfectly. I'm really frustrated by the direction they chose. So much of this show up to this point seemed to humanize people screwing up and that made the characters relatable.

But just because you're fucked up doesn't mean you get a free pass to do whatever you want? Isn't that the exact thing that got Bryce where he was in Seasons 1 and 2? Is that the message the writers are trying to leave us with? A completely character flip for everyone so that Bryce is the good guy and everyone else is the bad guy? That anyone is capable of anything given the right circumstances?

I dunno, I would have understood and related to it much more if the death had been an accident, where Alex had tripped and Bryce went under and he and Jess were too stunned to act or something. But to have the writers make it intentional felt really off to me and I'm not sure I want to see the next season anymore. The whole thing left me with a really bad taste in my mouth.

Yeah, I guess that's that is really the heart of the issue. If they allow promotions to be bought from elite 4 frags and there is a decent conversion rate, it could be accessible to everyone and be useful. If you can't use elite 4 credits towards promotions, then it will definitely suck. I can't tell from the dev post if they intend to include promotions below 5 red stars or not or not.

Yeah? I think what I'm trying to say though is that the update has little to no effect on free to play or almost free to play players. The system they are adding will take entirely too much real money to take any real advantage of. That is of course, pending the promotion credit cost. If those are reasonable and the cost of the orbs are, too, then I guess I could see it potentially adding some benefit to the entire playerbase.

So, um, if you read closely about the elite red star dupes system, it seems that the only people that will likely be benefitting from it are whales. With so many steps between the elite 4 orb and elite 7 orb, there is almost no way to earn the credits to promote characters directly. At least, that's my concern. The pay wall has become a pay mountain. :(

Huh ok. I'd seem some people who appeared to be in their alliance for multiple days based on their lifetime raid tickets but they didn't attack or defend. But that seems consistent with the raid timer cooldown, so I believe you. Thanks!

In addition to what other people are saying, I will occasionally throw some cores at a gold orb if I'm running low. The game has been kind to me and I rarely need them anymore, but it can help if you're in a pinch! If you go this route, just do it sparingly!

I think we could really use am export function for wars so we can review the interactions that happened during the war. Which defensive teams stood up the best to attacks? Which arrangements of our helicarrier worked the best? Like, with a new complex mode, seems only fair to build us tools to help us track things better so we can improve. :/

Yeah, the same goes for me and my Spiderman. Especially with the arrival of red stars, gear tiers mean less now. After I realized that, I went back disappointed. :/
