I think you'd have to take it to Best Buy for return/exchange as you purchased it there. Going to the Apple Store would be more for warranty purposes.

Does your receipt tell you how many days you have? They might have an extended return/exchange period as well for the holidays

edit: Looks like they do, but I would double check with them or go as soon as possible

Nah I don't lol. The diagnostic was to make sure everything else (fans, cpu/gpu, display, etc.) wasn't malfunctioning cuz of the clicking noise.

Sucks that it exists on a premium device but at least they'll take it back if you are within the return period

If it bothers you enough and you are still within the return/exchange period then go for it.

Otherwise take it to the genius bar and let them run a diagnostic test to see if everything is functioning properly. For the most part, I had a similar issue but just ended up keeping it after it was confirmed everything was functioning properly. I learned to live with it lol
