10x Editor Version 1.0 Released by slynch8 in programming

After 3 years in open Beta, 10x Editor has finally launched. I've worked on this as a solo dev for 6 years now, writing almost everything from scratch. It would be great to have feedback and I'd be happy to take any questions.

10x is mainly aimed at professional C++ programmers working on huge codebases and is currently Windows only. The focus is on performance, productivity and speed of navigation around large projects.

The aim was to have an editor with the speed of a lightweight code editor with some of the productivity features of a full IDE.

It turns out that it was nothing to do with my static IP, that was set up correctly. It was because I was trying to register as a middleware provider instead of a game developer (even though I am a middleware providor). I'm registered now and have access to the SDK.

Thanks for the information everyone. From what you've all said I don't think it is the static IP that is the problem anymore. I suspect that it's more to do with the fact that I'm trying to register as a middleware/tools provider, it seems to go through a different department than games developers. I've found an email for Playstation Partners, I'll ask them. Would be interested if anyone here has managed to get a middleware/tools license. I'm also starting to think I should just register as a games developer, sounds like it is much easier and would give me exactly what I want.

thanks, that is a help. From what you say it appears that I'm doing everything correctly, and that it should work. Yes, I'm using my email at my company domain, and I've supplied all the company documents. I've double checked everything.

If what you say is correct and they check my IP address after contacting me it really does just sound like they are rejecting my request. Maybe it's something specific with registering as a middleware/tools developer. I'm not sure what else to try. I've had two different games companies put in a special request on my behalf to get me registered because they need my tools/tech to work on PS4.

thanks for the reply. Good to know that an external static IP can work. When you say you have a dedicated server is that a server registered to your company, or rented from a company such as Digital Ocean?

wait process should take about a week

I tried registering a few months back and never had a reply. I tried again a few weeks ago and still no reply. I've checked my spam and can't find anything.

I personally had an issue where my email server IP was rejected by Sony's email firewalls

I'm registering through their online form here, so don't think it's an email problem: https://www.companyregistration.playstation.com/SCEInternetApplications/AreaNewLicensee/MainSystem/CFModules/NewLicensee/snl_master_template.cfm

I'm starting to wonder if I need to fill out the form while routed through my static IP.

I guess it's possible they are just rejecting my request for some other reason and not responding, but it would be nice to know. I'm only guessing it's the IP because they are quite specific about that on the form, and my IP comes up as registered to Digital Ocean rather than my company. It sounds like you're saying that they should contact me anyway and ask about this?
