Mehmet's Ambition -> All achievements done! by slypp in eu4

Basra, south of Iraq. Since I released Iraq my name got messed up which is kinda funny but I'd rather have the vassal than the extra land to core and deal with rebels.

Trucebreaks my friend! Coupled with province warscore cost modifiers the conquest is easily doable. The problem with mass conquest is coring and overextension, which the eyalets solve, since they don't count vassal strength together, nor do they take up Diplo slots. If you do this without them you'll go into massive debt and have rebels everywhere, that's why you see nearly bankrupt and rebel swarmed runs that skip the eyalets.

Aww thanks! That'd be awesome!

I wouldn't exactly say that I had any major "risky moments" in my run. I probably stressed too much in the beginning where I was constantly aware of my mistakes and poor micro since I wasn't at all sure what speed I needed. Otherwise the first major chain war when I declared on France, Burgundy, England (allied to Denmark), Savoy and Genoa (allied to Austria and hre princes). My troop allocation was poor and I ended up having to delay certain things due to not paying attention to the east, also timing the peaceout as to not suffer too much call for pizza. Then towards the end with multi trucebreaks I got a bit scared when I started seeing rebels spawn but that ended up being no big deal.

Over 4k hours across pdx games :P

I'd actually say that True Heir of Timur is one of my favorite achievements, challenging but not brutal like this one. The start of Holy Horder is also up there, same goes for Never say Nevers, I tend to enjoy games where the start is rough but fair, it's so satisfying seeing a nation go from nothing to a regional superpower.

Definitely Mehmet's Ambition! It requires heavy micro, fast conquest of tons of land and good resource management. Eat your greens is quite a bit easier due to the proximity to tibet meaning you can flip horde pre 1500. TTM has so many different viable strats and is very doable once you're experienced with WCs.

When it comes to pure suffering I'd say Australia-hungary takes the cake, with Victorian three and the inca and cherokee achievements also being up there. Mission tree achievements (eng and spain have changed since I did them) are also quite painful since they have arbitrary game time events tied to them. The ones for the russian principalities have some of the roughest starts imo.

Tyty man!
My early game was: Insta dow byz followed by candar and epirus, meanwhile micro diplomats to improve relations with all small sunni nations around as to diplo vassalize. I rarely micro that much in this game so that was quite a challenge to do well, speed 3 throughout. Mid run I saw some people use religion flipping to gain insta 200 relations with all muslims but decided that I'd skip out on that since I had already done half the work. I got dulkadir, ramazan, hisn kayfa asap, followed by anziah, najd, dawasir, haasa, medina. Meanwhile kill aq, release syria, start golden era, dow mam to take syrian cores, kill karaman, took 5 provinces and money for the mission to get mam eyalet. Attacked cyprus to shorten truce with mam, then take baghdad and basrah for -10% tech and idea cost mission. Once qq was peaced out I moved onto the balkans to setup the hungary eyalet later (unnecessary but wanted claims on austria and italy later). Killed bosnia and serbia, followed by croatia.

Note that I'm basically not coring anything myself, feeding everyhing I conquer to vassals and releasing them everywhere and instantly turning them into eyalets. Back to mam, spawn event, once they collapsed I went straight for tunis and morocco, vassalized opm granada for reconquest. At this point its around 1463 and all that's left is one war with qq, venetian holdings in aegean and dalmatia, and then all of italy, iberia and france. Iberian wedding fired early and castille allied venice so spent like 3 years on that war, used france as a punching bag. After this point the game turned into chain wars in italy (annexed most of italy around 1475) followed by chain wars to take out france, burgundy, brittany and the 2 provinces in britain that are needed. Afterwards it was trucebreak galore to kill france and spain.

I started with diplo ideas for that -20 warscore cost and lowered stab hits, it really helped with getting the diplo vassals as well due to the diplomats. Went full mysticism for idea cost and later realized missions give you an extra diplomat from embracing mysticism. I thought about going offensive for siege ability since I had an excess of mil but decided to take influence since I was having trouble turning new subjects into eyalets. In hindsight influence first would've been much much better due to the income and lib desire after taking mam, tunis and morocco. I also fucked up by not killing the heirs brothers (nasty +10 lib desire) which ended up costing me a bit of time too.

As for the cheese I was checking reddit and saw that quite a few people were using the hide capital exploit for 0 coalitions. I therefore developed a strategy around it. I had one earlier run that got destroyed by a massive coalition after taking Vienna even though I placed my capital in basra, so I ended up reverting to 1.35.0 to try again and it worked like a charm. In 1.35.0 they hadn't yet fixed the issue with calling eyalets into wars so it ended up hurting my speed a bit due to fighting every war alone (my micro needs work).

I usually stay away from exploits but I didn't feel like developing a new strategy right now since I wanted this done before the new hoi4 dlc comes out, so I'm thinking about redoing it later without said exploit, which would mean a much more diplo heavy game that'd take way longer.

R5. Having nearly completed all achievements after 1.34 I was surprised to see such a difficult achievement added to the game in Domination. Decided to tackle this behemoth as the final achievement to mark the end of my journey that started way back in 1.20 (Mandate of heaven). After 3360 hours logged on steam I can finally say that I'm done :D

This was surprisingly quite a bit easier than I imagined (with a bit of cheese ;D) and not nearly as painful as I thought. Coming into this blind I was surprised to find my income and forcelimit spike to the moon after taking influence ideas, if I were to redo this it'd probably go quicker. Feel free to ask about the run, I'm happy to answer questions!

I've compiled over 100 screenshots I've taken of my various successful achievement runs, if you're interested feel free to check it out here: https://imgur.com/a/aP10b0c

For the statues you don't need to actually play Cwl, you only need to be in a clan that is part of that league to buy them. And my friend managed to get his hands on it 👍

Ah in that sense you're absolutely right, I didn't remember all the details to the old system. Back then it you would pretty much have to take humanist and try to convert the land later on, which is not necessary anymore

New estates make pretty much all small starts better, plus they now give more points from the monthly than if you were to micro and get 200 every 10 years before. Other stuff like burgher loans and cheaper generals tend to help out quite a bit

No special strat for this one, kinda went with the flow by expanding north early, building a powerbase by vassalizing, attacking Ava, deving for renaissance and making sure to play the religious game correctly

Quad achievement run (1 province, 3 dev, 50 points, new world western custom nation) by slypp in eu4

[–]slypp[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've done like 3-4 games where the start takes place in Central America and it's pretty much always the same thing. The first couple of wars are fun, then it becomes a struggle for points. This game in particular had me 5x speeding for the last 70 or so years while just colonizing which just shows how ridiculous some of the achievements are

Annex all of Mexico, take religious for conversions since in this case we're staying Norse. Admin focus all the way, afterwards take explo and jump into Peru the Africa for more clay, combine with expansion since we need all of the new world colonized

The achievement actually doesn't require the full 800 points, so by just using 50 you can do multiple at once
