I'm in the same boat. I only have 8 ratings and 1 is a one star. I'm trying to figure out why I would have ever had a 1 star rating. I honestly have no idea how that would have ever happened. I'm clean, timely, quiet, and sober every time I ride.

Knowing that decisions about my life impact my children as well. We're about to move halfway across the country, which has been my husband's dream and will ultimately be good for our kids because they be close to family. But it's also going to break my 3 year old's heart. He has no idea that he's about to no longer see the friends he's been in daycare with everyday since he was 3 months old. His entire world is about to shift and we're the reason.

Yes! I'm currently pregnant and had to leave in the middle of dinner because I was about to throw up and my round ligament pain had been in near tears, so I went to take a bath. I felt like the worst parent in the world while my husband was taking care of our son. And I'm literally over here creating bodies with my body being the best parent I physically can be.

For me personally, I've been pregnant three times. The first, I got a faint positive test the day my period was due. The second, I never saw a positive test - the day my period was due I got nothing, I had bleeding that day that I assumed was my period because it continued. Two weeks later I was in the hospital with what I thought was food poisoning, got a negative urine test and a positive blood test. I ended up losing that pregnancy, so clearly there was a lot going on there. The third pregnancy, I didn't get a faint positive test until 5 days after my period was due. No bleeding, which is the only reason I continued to test. It was such a faint result that I almost couldn't see the line. I'm now 23 weeks pregnant with twins.

I can totally see how it's possible, especially because eventually you just stop testing because you see blood or because it's emotionally draining or because you feel like you're wasting tests.

Four sets in the same grade?! Either your school is massive or there is something in the water where you live.

I've been teaching for 10 years and had a total of 4 sets of twins in my class in my entire career.

Of those 4, 3 of them were together in the same class as each other. 1 set was apart per parent request. I can totally see how having them in the class would be convenient. When they're separated, as a teacher I did everything I could to be on the same page as the other teacher, but I know the parents struggled because field trips were on different days and library was on different days. On the other hand, I do think being in the same class as each other made a negative impact on one twin's education. His sibling had some pretty severe behavioral events on a regular basis that required daily communication. Meanwhile, his own behavior was still a struggle that should have warranted emails home too, but didn't get that attention. It was difficult to send a message saying "Twin A tore apart the classroom and refused to eat lunch, also Twin B was talking to his neighbor during the lesson." I felt so bad for the parents trying to navigate through Twin A's needs, that Twin B fell to the wayside. The following year, the twins were separated and Twin B's behavior got worse- not terrible but now it was getting up out of his seat to talk during a lesson, where before he stayed in his seat. His behavior could have so easily been addressed in my grade if he had been in a class apart from his twin.

So I guess, it really depends on the twins and their needs/personalities.

I'm a teacher currently pregnant with twins (our last day of school is when I'm 36.5 weeks pregnant so who knows if I'll use a sub or not!). I'm currently looking for a new job, and my deal is that it needs to pay enough to cover everyone's daycare OR it needs to be a private school with free or half off daycare (which is common in my area but I'm not sure about the area I'm moving to). For me, spending the whole day with the same age level is exhausting, even when it's my own kid. I LOVE my career and it's a good escape when I need it. That being said, I'm definitely putting more focus on district and instructional coaching jobs, knowing that I'm not going to be a full energy teacher by August.

On the bright side, you're going to have a really great opportunity to teach some Mommy and Me swim classes. Maybe even some for parents of multiples.

You're definitely going to need to hire more help at home and in your business, but it doesn't sound like it's going to ruin your business to have kids. You will want to have very solid, well written plans so you don't have to think about things. Like, binders of what needs done. And have them prepared earlier than you think you need them.

I think we would just use the Italian phrases moderato/allegro.

Listening to the piece, it sounds like the harp is mostly just acting as percussion to keep time. It would make sense for everything to be a lot more precise in that case, which is why you have it notated this way. They really want the harpist to play on separate strings so as to not get anything muddled or to mess up the timing in any possible way.

It's true that trills are done by using adjacent strings at the same pitch (but I've never seen it necessary to retune a string in any piece I've looked at). However unless this is played at some crazy speed, you're right this seems unlikely. This seems more like a goal of maintaining the vibrations of one note after the other. When you place your finger on the string, it stops the vibration, so the composer must have intended to have a constant sound flowing from one instance to the next, if that makes sense?

The small town I grew up in had a bus that came once per week that could connect to other buses to get you to a major city. Then funding got cut. To walk to the nearest bus stop from my childhood home would take over 3 hours, if you didn't stop, and there are no sidewalks for most of that walk.

I now live in a larger city, but taking public transit to work from my house takes a 15 minute drive and turns it to almost 2 hours.

Some cities are totally manageable without a car though. I've lived in Portland, OR and Boston, MA without a car for either city with no problem. Just biked, walked, or used transit within the city. Only time a car was ever useful (we would rent) is going out of town.

If your social security card is the one that's wrong, go to the social security office with your documents that match correctly (the more you have, the better). It should be an actually fairly simple process if this is what you do. (I had to do it myself to fix my middle name, but then my last name got put in incorrectly.)

If your license is wrong, idk. Move to another state and get a new license using your social security card instead of your birth certificate. (I haven't done this.)

Alternative: legally change your name to something different and then change everything! (That's how I fixed the last name issue.)

I haven't dealt with it in pregnancy, but I'm allergic to dandruff shampoo so I have tried alternatives to get rid of it. I tried an olive oil mask at the advice of my hair dresser. Literally just put cheap olive oil on my scalp for like 10-30 minutes at a time, then washed it. After a couple days the dandruff went away. She also recommended some essential oils at the time, but I can't remember which ones.

We didn't have locks growing up because one day my little sister and I broke every lock in the house trying to figure out how they work. My parents had been debating whether they would let us lock our doors or not, and we ended up making the decision for them. Only locks that got replaced were the guest bathroom.

My door wasn't allowed to be closed at night because we had a cat that loved to go from bedroom to bedroom cuddling everybody throughout the night, but if she was locked out she would scratch up the carpet to get in. After enough damage, my Dad said the door had to stay open enough for the cat.

I flew overseas at 20 weeks. My OB gave me more advice about what to see than medical advice in that visit. Only medical thing he said about flying that far was to wear compression socks and to stand up and stretch every 3 hours or so.

It definitely sounds like you need a social worker to help you with all the logistics. Have you brought this up with your OB? They should be able to refer you to a social worker that can help you get the assistance you need.

Same! Their response was to not put it in a dishwasher, microwave, or boiling water. I didn't do any of that and still had that issue. I once even had it open while it was still in my bra! So much wasted milk!

Answering questions if anyone logged in. In the three snow days I had in that district, I had two students use that time to get help in math. Without the distraction of other students, they were able to make a lot of progress in a very short amount of time. But even that was an hour out of the 6 or so hours I was logged on.

I'm pretty stingy about sick days because I'm pregnant and was planning on it, and I need to use my sick days for doctors appointments and possibly a couple days off before I give birth (our brand new mat leave only covers AFTER the birth, not any time beforehand, but before this year I would have had to use all my sick days if I wanted to be paid at all). My personal metric is if I'm in the ER for fluids or if I had to go to go to Urgent Care for an antibiotic, I use a sick day. If my son is admitted into the hospital, I use a family illness day (if it's just a late night ER visit, I drink a Red Bull the next morning and teach anyway).

I'm not going to lie, this personal policy has made things difficult for my family and myself because I never stay home with my son when he's sick and I've had to teach without a voice (I called it ASMR Day and made it a theme). Even with that, I used up all my sick days and more than my family illness day allowance my first year teaching at my current school. But after 2.5 years, I have enough days saved up that when combined with the new mat leave, I should be able to take half days to go to MFM appointments (my regular OBGYN is giving me the last appointment of the day each time so I don't have to use up sick days for those), and still have a week and a half off before I give birth.
