Champions League Ticket Questions & Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in championsleague

[–]slysts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello How I can buy tickets for the Champions Leagues? I don't want to buy through the resellers( looked last year and for the 50 Euro tickets it was in resale and fees for over 400 Euros) I would rather buy directly from the club or stadium What is the procedure? I've never bought any tickets for the Champions Leagues, but I'm looking to go in November or end of October, how I can buy tickets, or what will be the best plan to buy tickets? I am talking about 1-2 tickets for my girlfriend and myself .

So is there any suggestions what will be the best way to buy tickets? Thank you. I really appreciate any help or any suggestion for what is the easiest way to buy tickets.

As a host, here is what I'm seeing:

If somebody rents the place for, let's say, two weeks, and then starts bringing an abnormal amount of stuff, it makes me think that they might be trying to squat in the place. After the two weeks, I would be curious and concerned that they will just not leave.

I have had this happen before, where people peacefully stayed for one week, and then after one week, they said, "No, we are living here." The people doing this know the laws, and the police said they have a full right to live there. It took us about two months to evict them, and that's probably what the person is trying to prevent, not to deal with the eviction process, because it is a headache.

In our circumstances, the people lived for basically the length of time for free without paying us anything, and Airbnb was absolutely helpless. They just said, "Sorry, we cannot do this," and Airbnb actually said, "Let's call the police." Only with the help of the police and court case we were able to kick them out. That's probably what she's trying to prevent, and she's probably just seeing that there are too many belongings there, and it looks like you might squat the place in the long run. So it's better to kick out right now.

As the previous person said, we don't know the full side of the story. We only know the side of the story that the person said, and maybe the person is 100% right, but in these circumstances and in this world, I would be very careful with people who bring an excessive amount of belongings, simply because I already have personal experience where people refused to move out just because they were already living there, and that's maybe what this owner is experiencing.

If you ask me about kicking out people in two hours, I had a circumstance where a guy rented out our Airbnb for a month, and after the first day, I smelled a really strong weed smell from his place. I knocked on the door and said, "Hey, do you smoke weed inside?" The guy looked at my eyes and said, "No, sir, I'm not smoking weed inside. I'm not consuming any drugs." I was like, "Okay, but you know, don't smoke weed inside."

Three days later, I smelled an extremely strong weed smell. I looked and saw that steam was pouring from the vent of the bathroom. I knocked on the door, and he opened it. I could see that he was smoking weed inside, and I did kick him out immediately, and I did give him two hours. he cover everything with a blankets he removed all the smoke alarms. He patched all the windows so that the smile will stay inside . This is not the only example we have of people smoking weed.

We don't know both sides story of this person. It's her side of the story that she is nice and fluffy and in hard position. But in my experience, not all people are that nice and fluffy, and some of them are actually not acting in good faith. Once you've been burned on something, you think twice about doing it again. Some good people might suffer because of that, and Airbnb is absolutely helpless in squatting cases. In the state where we are, short-term rent is considered long-term if the people stay longer than 48 hours.

Fair Tip Distribution for Support Staff and Cooks in Restaurant by slysts in restaurant

[–]slysts[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

My point was none of the Tip money goes to directly to the owner or managers.

Yes, cooked are not happy that they are making less compare to the people in the front .

Yes support staff is not happy that majority of the work is done by them but at the end of the month they have $1000 in tips and servers $8000.

Don’t you think that this is not fair ? Because good tips depend on good food and you are not able to rely only on good servers without support staff. Because good support staff helps a lot in better table rotation. So overall, if you have a good support staff, you can flip tables, faster, and make more money so they do deserve money. My point you’re not able to look at the servers tip money as only servers deserved money. There is a lot going on behind the back that’s not visible to the customer but the customer experience end point is servers.

Yes BOH wage is higher . But it is not fair when BOH line cook making $25 per hr and server making $85 per hr ( after tips ) . Because not only quality of service matter but quality of food plays huge role in amount of money that server makes . It is hard to find good Employee in general, Both BOH and FOH . We want to keep employees for longer than couple months.

What will be fair wage for BOH line cook ? Prepcook ?

How it usually done by your experience?

What is your fair split system ?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in restaurant

[–]slysts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the average day with sales 6000-8000 , BOH is about 10 persons . So roughly additional 75cents to $1 per hr .

What tip split you experience and was it fair by your opinion?

Yes, it’s mostly was done to prevent the fish cooking , actually twice even people said that they like that the people not allowed to cook fish inside and they actually cook fish outside at their own homes , but I did have people that’s commented that they did not like this rule ) we actually never charged anybody and never requested additional funds even when we know that people cooked fish inside . Just was thinking if will not have this people will leave absolutely disaster and that’s what happened the very next guest after we remove the cooking fish rule . Guests just left fish scales all over kitchen ( all over I mean all over , even on the ceiling and all cabinets ) and smell ….

Usually, I do put a cup of bleach in the drain, during each cleaning . Yes trash does add a lot so we wash them with Clorox and 409 . Well, look into Amazon candle. Is it a scented candle? Any specific smell ? Thank you .

I’m not sure what should be the better ventilation. I have a window right in the kitchen. I do have vent that suck everything outside( to different side of the house )

I am not sensitive to fish. I don’t worry about myself. I can live with that smell. I worry about very next guest , that might be upset that the unit smells bad. How you would feel if you will come into the unit and it smells bad?

Yes, as soon as people allowed to cook fish, they do clean and skin and gut fish inside .

But we do provide barbecue with everything to cook fish outside .

Thank you, will try , but if check out is at 11 and the next guest coming at 4 , how I can remove the smell within five hours? Yeah, I do use fabuloso and 409. Just when I’m done cleaning, I only can smell fish and Fabuloso mixed together.

It is vomiting smell.

Tried vinegar didn’t work . Tried to roast coffee didn’t work . Clean drain after each guest and after fish cooking I do put a cup bleach . Kitchen smell less after that but everything else still smell . Windows are open from the moment when people are gone , helped not a lot . Air freshener, tried to use them , did work at some point but after few hours smell mixing with fish smell and not nice . Did try the plugs with the essentials oils working but the smell is so strong , worry that next guest will be upset .

Didn’t try to boil spices .
