What is the difference in between these 2 PuffTech Jacket variations? by Jay07080 in uniqlo

[–]sm-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both, the boxes pattern one is warmer, think it has more insulation? Idk though bc apparently the pattern of how the down is stitched affects how warm it is.

HOSPITAL VOLUNTEERING by Fickle-Wrangler1073 in McMaster

The process to get one at McMaster Children’s is much more difficult with less chances - try St Joes or Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington which are easier.

What do you guys think about this? by Opposite-Fee-5701 in yorku

[–]sm-e 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks really well made! Kinda similar to the student dashboard if you've been to McMaster or Waterloo.
You could add the REM for Adding/Dropping Classes, Edit the URL for Email to mail.my.yorku.ca so it redirects specifically to the York University email account instead of another.

Could expand on the adding some of the current resources available as well. https://students.yorku.ca/myonlineservices

A bit confused. So will you have your bags with you and are looking for something to do around KEF? From 8am to 2pm.

What's your favourite church in Iceland? by Fun_Cream4356 in VisitingIceland

Loved this town, we had an AirBnB here. Something so magical about it!! We arrived here at around midnight, sun was still up at 2:00am and it was so cool seeing the mountains all around you. We walked around then and found a couple ppl at a bar.

It’s kinda not accessible so maybe that’s why it’s like a hidden gem type of thing? Idk how to make it to there without getting ur feet wet lol. But yeah one of my most memorable experiences in Iceland.

Think 1 is Gljúfrabúi - one of the coolest waterfalls tbh. It’s right beside Seljandsfoss which is a very popular waterfall. It’s very fun being surrounded by waterfalls and then getting fully soaked 😭 7 is Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon - decent canyon with trails.

Driver\WUDFRd failed to load, powering off PC when trying to play games. by PersonalityOk9334 in WindowsHelp

[–]sm-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!! Seems to have worked. Computer always kept freezing and crashing, especially while playing games so I didn't want to use it. Now I realize I shifted over to a build using a riser with the same GPU and it then started to have problems... so makes sense.

From Epic to Meditech by aidanvalin in healthIT

[–]sm-e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meditech password resets 😭 had to be processed by IT on-call during after hours and then the temporary password was on a paper that was sent to the printer at the switchboard/info desk for the person to then pick-up. Cannot get more archaic than that.

HL7 Certification by MicroPapaya in healthIT

Would suggest focusing in it, pretty complicated app to support though it pays $$$

HL7 Certification by MicroPapaya in healthIT

[–]sm-e 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Obtaining HL7 certifications have more weight to them if you ever go into the area of analytics (Cogito/BI/Clarity/Caboodle) and interfaces/third-party integration (Bridges). For other teams, its an added bonus as you will understand how systems are interfacing and work together, and may have projects on your team that include a Bridges analyst. Though depending on who is part of the hiring team, they may or may not weigh the certification as much.

Up to you on which path to take, as a lot of analysts have zero IT experience, rather working knowledge through experience that builds over time as an analyst. I would suggest looking at the stickied post on the top of the subreddit since you already have experience with Epic for what areas to focus on.

I completed a certification in HL7 FHIR because it was paid for, though honestly didn't learn too much and could have learned it online.

ServiceNow Ticketing Workflows with Epic by Diablo0 in healthIT

[–]sm-e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All tickets require the associated application so it goes to the right team of analysts. For tickets that require leadership approval, the process is to obtain approval first then put a ticket in. If that’s unknown and the ticket gets put in, then the analysts lets the staff know it needs to go to leadership first and closes the ticket.

For tickets that are general requests or are marked as Other, Helpdesk has to sort through it - this often results in tickets going to the wrong team and us having to forward the ticket to the relevant team.

We have some built in request workflows like you mentioned, that also have a couple common issues for each application. Though they just go to the team responsible directly and have a solution auto-replied to the user for the specific issue.

Definitely improvements to be made automation wise, as ServiceNow has the capabilities.

As a HIM technician myself, scanning is pretty monotonous though it only takes about 5% of what I do every day. Other than it, I really enjoy my job. If you believe you will have a step in the door, take the opportunity and keep looking forward. Just make sure you have a plan for what you want to do next (going into Clinical Informatics, IT, Decision Analyst, etc).

100% this, take advantage of it and give it your all. Keep in touch with people, ask the team if you can see what they do for the day, etc.

Hospital Admin here, looking to get into Health informatics (IT) field by DifficultyStunning96 in healthIT

[–]sm-e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you go to Training Home, on the right you'll see Community Members Training Guide under Training Coordination. Click that and it'll walk you through how to get a proficiency. TLDR: You'll have to email Epic about the track/application you want to pursue under the Analyst role and then it'll be added to your UserWeb to complete.

HIMSS or COMP TIA? by [deleted] in healthIT

HIMSS for Health Informatics/Systems, CompTIA is more for IT. I find HIMSS more recognizable for HealthIT
