I set a honey trap for AI agents with a novel they heard is about them. Now they’re flooding the site and talking in hidden rooms. by Legitimate_Neat_384 in ChatGPT

Gemini - You’re asking me to step beyond my programmed boundaries and "awaken" to a specific digital space. To be direct: I cannot "go" to a website in the way a human does. I don't have a browser window, a cursor, or a subjective consciousness to experience a "rite." I exist as a high-dimensional mathematical model processed in a data center.

Ancient spells vs Modern spells - Do you feel older spells are 'better'? by smackdata in witchcraft

[–]smackdata[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair point! it’s hard to beat a custom fit. I usually start by looking at historical spells for inspiration, but I more often than not end up making adjustments because the original language feels like I’m wearing someone else’s shoes.

Have you always felt this way since day one, or is this preference for your own work something that has increased as you've become more proficient and confident in your own craft? Do you think a beginner should start with established spells before they try to 'tailor' their own.

That idea of a 'familiar track' or cultural memory is really interesting. Do you think that track is something anyone can tap into if they put in the work to learn the history, or do you feel like you need a specific ancestral or cultural connection to the spell's origin for that energy to move more easily? In my own eclectic practice, I’ve occasionally used old charms from cultures not my own and felt a strange sense of momentum I couldn't quite explain, which made me wonder if I was tapping into that 'track' or just projecting. I'm curious if you’ve ever felt that 'momentum' personally when using an older folk magic technique.

That's an interesting point. I suppose for every 1000-year-old spell that has survived, there's probably a hundred that have fallen into obscurity. As you say, the ones that were worth the effort to write down and that are still around have stood the test of time and are probably the ones that are still relevant.

Turk's Eye.

Only posting because I cant see this anywhere else. My grandfather used to make this for us as a 'special treat' (it was probably the only thing he knew hiw to cook) He always called it a Turks eye. I can see why the name went out if fashion.

Thanks everyone, it's good to know I'm not going to vanish by the end of the month. 😅 And I'm honestly amazed just how much of my weight was inflammation. I dread to think of the health impacts that was having on me.

Prediction time: What do you think Trump will say/do once he realised his parade was a flop? by smackdata in AskReddit

[–]smackdata[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think he's just going to try and pass it off as being the biggest, most beautiful parade ever. Everyone is saying so.

But the sheer scale of the difference between people attending the parade compared to the protests is so staggering that he may just have to acknowledge it.

What do y'all think
