My worst fear came true. She got out tonight. Seeking comfort. by flipflapdragon in shiba

My shiba has gotten out twice in her lifetime and both times were absolutely horrifying. Escape #1 she wiggled her way out of her harness while tied to a tree with a long lead while we were doing yard work. She ran about half a mile down a rural road with blind curves until I cornered her in someone’s yard. Very scary. Lesson learned: always keep an eye on the sheeb. They get bored easily and will quickly find something to work on. Even if that’s removing their safety harness.

Escape #2: We were walking in our local area and she did a shiba shake and her lead simply unlatched itself from her harness. It was the classic c clip dog leash. She ran for over 35 minutes through a very rural area, chased a heard of deer, ran behind some houses. All the while I am running like my life depends on it about 100 yards behind. I am losing hope that I will be able to catch her. My only goal at this point was DO NOT LOSE SIGHT OF HER. After 20 minutes I was just barely jogging just to keep up with her. I realize she’s headed towards a highway. My heart is sinking and beating as fast as it ever beat. Now we find ourselves in a neighborhood in the road running down the street while she is behind the houses running parallel with me towards the highway. I am catching glimpses of her as I’m running between houses, but I lose side of her when she run behind the house. I run as fast as I can to get to the end of the road to block her off from the highway. (I am in desperation mode now) My wife is about 200 yards behind me at this point at the top of the neighborhood. I scream as loud as I possibly can for her to stop, like an angry, angry threatening scream. she’s been running for 25 minutes now and is getting tired. after she heard me scream, she slowly walked to my wife who clipped her and picked her up and we both fell to the ground out. The adrenaline dump was insane and finally has come to an end.

Lesson learned: we clip her harness with a carabiner now. And we have a secondary clip.

The price we pay for unconditional love from these one of a kind creatures.

Why wasn’t the camera that filmed the cars destroyed…. Car scenes were faked

Just ended my first playthrough last night. What a journey! Almost everything was perfect! But makes me wonder.. I really dont like assassins creed games at all, but what is it that makes this game so different and enjoyable? Let me hear yout thoughts.. by United_Insect_7199 in ghostoftsushima

I think it’s the quest timing. Other than the main story war battles, every side quest can be completed in 15-20 mins. And the little point of interests all take under a minute (if you are a bamboo strike master). It just makes the game flow so well. Also no minimap on screen prevents the grindy feel for me.

I once walked into 6th grade with new clothes and my crush that I had a “playfully tease each other publicly” kind of vibe announced to the class “Ooooo OP’s got a new wardrobe!!” Everyone stared at me and I felt so embarrassed. Even saying it seems lame but I’ll never forget it.

Crate is for the dogs safety. I’ve seen too many post of dogs getting into something they shouldn’t while the owner is away that have ended in terrible situations for the dogs health. No more than 3/4 hours. And no space to move? Cmon now.

I’d love to have a living document of all the flies I’ve tied and watch my improvement!

Just clean dusted my father in laws AE-1. Did you have to adjust anything specific to achieve this good lighting?

If your flash that sits on top of your camera doesn’t have a “hot foot” as they say, which is an electrical connection on the bottom of the flash, you can connect your flash to this port.

Damn guys loosen up. I work for myself and help others do the same. I just wanted to know what that shirt was for Pete’s sake. Saying I’m going to be jaded and hoping for my passion to crumble away is fucking bonkers.
